Check to see if your internet explorer / firefox w/e actually has momenterilly freezes. I had wireless and I actually ended up running the whole internet wire through my house to connect the internet upstairs.
My problem was that the walls where too thick for the signal and sometimes would "bounce" back, there fore disconnectng me from the internet and kicking me from any online game server I was on.
Best way to check is to play an online game like CS:S or what have you, you'll end up freezing and problem getting a timeout. If so look for a better wireless router. I went with a G++ and that still didn't sort my problem lol....GL!
*Edit Sorry obviously didn't read it through properly, if it's not your connection then maybe GW doesn't like you! Anyways I'd still say give it a try!

have you checked your routers log to see if it disconnected then auto reconnected? other than that it could be the rout to gw servers try /tracert "gw server ip address"

Its not just you, I get it too. I can play any other game online without any problems. The really really bad lag and d/c's started when they merged all the servers so you could go to anyone you want. Though sometimes i think anet likes to d/c you purposely :P Everytime i go for Survivor or try to help someone, i get d/c and it doesnt let me re-connect. Theyve seriously got to start working on the servers again. If you cant enjoy GW without random d/c's ruining Urgoz,FoW,UW,DoA and all those other elite areas. Why would you want to play GW2 if they just stop working on the servers and they go to the dogs.

Since you stated that this problem doesn't occur when you are hardwired, the problem is your connection, specifically, your wireless connection.
The most likely cause is radio interference, causing packet loss. Too many packets lost equals a disconnect. You could try relocating either the router or your computer and see if this fixes the problem.

Since the problem doesn't happen to myself, nor the majority of users, it isn't a problem "they" can fix. Most likely it a routing issue on the internet, between your ISP and the guild wars servers.
Try a trace route, and see the number of hops and the response times. You cold then actually see where the "lag" actually occurred, instead of the arbitrary "they need to fix this or I won't play"

Its not just me, maybe 8/12 Urgoz's almost everyone disconnected and half couldnt reconnect, and sitting in towns tons of people complain about random d/c's. I run at 70 FPS and an average of 60-120 Ping. All of a sudden ill just d/c. I can connect to the internet, play Warcraft 3 and any other online games i have, no lag and no d/c's. Maybe if they werent too busy with useless things like skill descr.ptions, we'd all have smoother gameplay.

Yeah try not using wireless, i don't anymore because i got err7's and all that wonderful stuff, when i hooked up my magical 20 foot cat5 cable that i made in my networking class at school a few years ago (yes its an awesome cable, never fails me) everything went so much better. :)
Also 4 MEGS isn't what your getting just to let you know, don't get sucked into the mainstream media that companies want you to believe. I get somewhere around 300KBPs on spikes in guildwars when theres maybe a huge patch, when im SUPPOSED to as comcast advertises, 7000kpbs or (7 MEGS) but of course signal gets degraded, hey, you might be paying for some crazy t4 internet i don't know so you are guaranteed 4 MBPS but if your using cable or dsl and you are told to be getting 4 MBPS of speed then your not really getting 4 MBPS they want money. Trust me. Anyways hope you get this all settled out. Try using straight through connection instead of wireless.

I would love to know two things concerning the OP's issue:
1) What brand and model Wireless router is used.
2) Is it known to have trouble with UDP streaming?
The connection "measured" is signal strength, this doesn't say anything about throughput speeds or the router's ability to effectively route UDP packets over it's NAT (Network Allocation table). In fact, most wireless routers suck at that, some suck more than others though.
If you're the least bit serious about gaming, use CAT-6 UTP cable instead of Wireless technology which can be influenced by radio waves, micro-waves (yes, mom cooking dinner affects your gameplay) and just about every other form of wave. it's not shielded and it's not directional so it will be affected by everything, including your cellphone.
At the very least, don't ever ever dare blame the Publisher for disconnects when you're on wireless.
