Well first was this guy whose name i forgot (which is good), after that he made an account named Whiplash, he made a billionpost instead of a doublepost, on purpose that is as he attempted it multiple times aswell, so he got smitten to the ground after being struck viciously by the banhammer of Amp.
After that "Knight of the White Mantle" (probably whiplash) came and had to post a few pictures which, let's say, aren't for the youngsters here, though i must assure you, i've seen better things in the 18+ category then what he attempted to share with us. Which is disappointing to me, if you must ask for a ban and do it in posting adult-only pictures, please take good proper ones which atleast we can enjoy.
I don't know if others got banned like Calypso though, although there is a certain club on GameAmp now who just like to stir up the hornets nest everytime they post in a certain thread, it's just too small to hold both replies it seems.
EDIT: unfinished [size code.

Im a bit afraid to post anymore, seeing as expressing your opinions somehow offends people, who go to admins and get you in trouble....But every website goes downhill and hits that tree of no return. Seems AMP is starting to slowly creep over the top of that hill.

'nuff said right there
'Sort of' is such a harmless thing to say. Sort of. It's just a filler. Sort of - it doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, sort of means everything. Like after 'I love you' or 'You're going to live' or 'It's a boy.'

There is nothing wrong with expressing yourself. But when you go out of the way just to make a total ass out of yourself, you are not welcomed here. Take that immaturity somewhere else.

It's a pitty it happened... but glad it was taken care of. That's good news =)
Least it shows that the admins are taking action against abusive (immature) behavior.
Good job!
Hehe. Amp isn't that bad. I still think it can improve, just needs the members wanting to contribute to that goal. =)
It's easier if you ignore the "snotty" remarks and just shrug it off. Not reacting to a negative reply will more then likely result in less "tension" and fights.
It's just the internet. =) And I'll post at GA...contribute and everything as much as I can! It's a great site still, some good members, but I never expected it to have no bad seeds. =))
Have fun playing.

Im just wondering, is it like, when one admin sees someone repetively doin something bad is it like "HULK BAN!!!" or is it like, before a grand jury of admins?

Usually before someone is banned. it's discussed among admins... That way you don't have personal opinions/clouded judgment getting in the way of how the situation should have been treated.

Usually the admin seeing the repetitive breaking of rules will bring it up with the other admins and most likely decide on a course of action. But with extreme problems that are obviously a banable(bannable?) offense it's a "first come first ban", which happens rarely (or not? Don't quote me >.>)

I will have to disagree with the poster who said AMP is going downhill. Quite to the contrary. When you get rid of the bad apples it only helps to improve things. As they say "You are only as good as your weakest member, team mate, etc..." So by eliminating those who want to behave a certain way it only helps to improve it for those who want to use this forum.
I have 2 kids who play GW and a 3rd wanting to start. I just haven't found the patience to start teaching her yet. And believe me, it is going t take a whole lot of it. But I would have no problem letting any of them use this site if they wanted to.

Well I wish I had a nickel, For every time I fell and blamed somebody else
I'd give a ton of money to the ones I’ve hurt, And I’d still be sittin' pretty well
I've spent years losin' touch of what's right and what's real Caught up in these missions of my own
And you're tellin' me you think I’ve done so damn well While we're sittin' here a thousand miles from home
There's a hole in your wisdom, a hole in your sky
Two holes in your head where the light's supposed to get by

Thank You! I can't stand people who read something they don't like, so they grab their pitchforks and torches then go bitch to the admins rather than ignore it.

Yea, that really goes for anything. If you see something that you don't like, don't agree with. If you can't post anything constructive, just don't post at all. Its just like what Thumber's father said. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
As for the how we ban. Depends on the issue at hand.

I think he was more-or-less mentioning that this site looks more particularly for negative things, adds them up, and bans...or, more narrow-minded, in a sense. I know, it's impossible to get the best for everyone, there are always pros and cons to balance.
People whom are being more immature sucks...as does people whom are more ignorant (some by choice, if you get what I mean)...and alot of the negative comments are actually drawn by people that have not 'thought' enough by their posts before they post.
I am just wondering, if the people getting banned get a warning, or talked to...I don't just mean; hey you, stop being negative, this is a warning...next bad comment they make they're banned. It takes time to adjust to a new rule given, because it usually takes a change of personality or attitude. I want to know if the people are actually taken through a constructive discussion about what they are doing wrong and what to do about it.
Some of the people you have banned, I notice, they get annoying to me as well...but, some of the most annoying and immature people are some of the most brilliant people you'll ever meet.
Come to think of it, don't know for sure, don't know who all has been banned....Most of the people that have been banned, seem to know the most and contribute alot of info. on PvP?...just wondering.
Also, could an admin. state a list of all the people who have been banned, if you can't, could you at least PM a list to me, I'm very curious, and I want to confirm the PvP sentence up above.
Heh, I read through this to make sure I didn't need to edit any typos, but, it got me thinking about me getting warned. So, on a side note....I have no complaints really about people being banned, if it's the best course of action for the site itself. I just want to make sure the bans are well discussed by both parties and a mutual agreement is accomplished. It can't always be done, I know, but it helps others to know why the community is changing and how it is being changed.

For starters, the administration team doesn’t target pvpers.
The admins only ban whenever the person in question has repeatedly done enough to step over the line. Users are private messaged before banning. There are plenty of chances given beforehand. Whenever the user repeatedly goes against what the admin asked to adjust in their behavior… a banning/temporary banning is sometimes given. It’s based on the situation at hand.
The people who are banned aren’t banned because of their preference in the game. It’s the attitude and behavior on this site.
There are a few members on Game Amp who assume because they’re knowledgeable about a portion of the game…it gives them a right to bash (being cruel to ;) anyone trying to learn how to extend to that part of the game.
But to answer your question, normally the administration team speaks to the person before any banning occurs.
Someone from the current administration can correct me if I’m mistaken over anything.

The reason I stated that is because it just seems to be a coincidence, I just pointed it out cause it was amusing to notice.
And since you were an admin. at one time, I can take your word for most of it, I knew you took a break so I obviously want some clarification coming from a current member, somebody more involved in the actually banning...nothing against you, but you probably get my point.
I know there are a lot of good people hear, the reason I mention the coincidence of pvp is cause most hardcore pvpers have that 'LEET' attitude...you kinda have to put up with it. There are good manner pvpers, Ulf (shit, totally forgot his name, if that's not right you probably know who) is one, and I've gotten into gvg quite a bit. I keep in contact with some of the higher ranked guilds through other connections.
But, thanks again for the reply Mim, I'm just concerned the most about the site becoming more narrow-minded like I suggested.

I don't mean to stick my nose where it doesn't belong, but I would consider myself a very active member of this community. Just because i don't have over 1000 credit doesn't mean i don't check the forums daily.
Blazing is annoying. I really don't like all his negative posts, and even if he makes a valid point he screws himself by presenting it in a negative manner. I was really upset/offended when he posted that my last guide sucks (which I'm pretty sure it doesn't, or i wouldn't have posted it)
but whatever.
Do you guys all have a relationship with him? Is he your friend in RL? Do you see him in game?
I just want to know how he became such a big deal and such a hot topic. Surely it isn't from inflammatory posts. I mean you CAN just skip over what he wrote, or ignore it. It's tough, but i just want to know what the deal with him is.
I feel like there is something i'm not getting

Sad to see people go, but I'm glad they took their baggage with them, I atleast thought Calypso was decent to be around, not to say Blazings wasn't just didn't like him as much. You will be mourned! Yup that about raps up the mourning, and new people to fill the void?

Whenever I checked the forums I never saw him do anything wrong. Maybe a slightly snarky attitude, but considering I'm pretty much a smartass in real life, I'm fine with a little lip.
Maul and eat me now, but I dont like it thats Blazings or Meg got banned. Even if their 3000% jackass to the general public forum, a burned bridge is never good.
