Ok, I finally managed to get my IDS. It is currently listed as a gold item. Cold damage 15-22 with req 9 in Sword. It has a damage +15 mod when health is above 50%.
So now my question, can it be upgraded and if so what are the best choices (ie Furious..etc)? I am looking for damage or adrenaline recharge, since it will be used by a warrior I do not really need enchantment or spell duration increases.

You can't replace the Icy mod. Nor can you replace the 15^50 one.

typically swords are put with sundering and health mods.
its all about the damage.
chance of penetration 20%
health +30
if you can get those either of those 2 mods, would be better

Don't take sundering anyway. Furious or vampiric. Vampiric outdamages sundering.

Given that its an IDS i dont believe you can upgrade it with any other Sword Hilt (Furious/Sundering/Vampiric). Only the pommel can be altered.
And usually most people go for Fortitude (+30hp) or Enchanting (+20% enchantments) if max.

Icy Dragon Sword. Key word is Icy. It cannot be changed, only the suffix modifier can be changed on that sword, ie: +30 HP, +5 Armor, etc...

I wish I had my 2 Id's back (lesson learned) NEVER give stuff to guildess for loan you will never get it back again :(

Hah! Now you mention it, I borrowed a guildy 10k.. next day I log in and he left the guild. He said he needed it to buy skills for his warrior to solo UW >.>

Well the guilde's that borrowed it were using it intill they got a better sword (silly m didn't think they would leave the guild and make a new one and never come back on again. I could go do runs for one but I dont know what there drops rates are now. I got the Id's when they frist came out with my guild 2 dropped for me in one run every one was pissed but I was happy.
