I amn AVID mmo gamer,played numerous games. I recently left WoW to return to CoV/CoH. When I say return I have played a few times at about a month or 2 each time I returned. Needless to say I am in no way an expert in CoV/CoH, I am just slightly above a novice, highest level ever obtained was a lvl 24 Dominator back in the days when u could farm Barrcuda(Is she farmable still btw?) If u wanna know about WoW I am am your man, I quit playing simply due to the fact I was tired of the crybaby drama involved and the competition involved in the game. Not competition as u may find here, but competition for that NEXT GREAT EPIC!!!! Now onto my point: I am looking for advice on buidling a Brute. I play a stalker currently but Brutes look like alot of fun, therefore......
What is a good build? Power sets that are fun?
How should you apply Enhancements and new slots--> Currently, and this may seem noobish, but I place about 4 slots per power and put a different enhancement in each i.e. power, accuracy, and reduction,etc.etc.
I am looking for any and all input on building and playing a successfull BAD A%$ Brute...Please Help??

Well then unwelcome to the back to the game thats got it all, and unwelcome to the dark side, we do have flashlights and cookies btw
It depends on what you WANT your brute to be, theres SS/Fire which is a superb farming and PvP build, its a great hybrid if you want to be a murderer in PvE and a decent PvPer, PvP brutes are SM or EM / Fire or Elec, Brutkers are SS or DM / Stone or Elec, to tell you the truth theyre all sick toons to play

Welcome back to the great game in town. And welcome to GameAmp!
About two years back (I think) they made a change that a 4th enhancement of the same type in a power is no longer as useful. In the (long gone) past it would have been smart to put 6 damage enhancements in one power. Now it is still nice to have 6 slots in a power, but slot it as 3 damage, 2 accuracy, 1 recharge. Of course that was just an example :)
Personally I have a level 50 inv/ss brute and it was a great run. It was able to do all those thing you expect from a brute. Personally I (role)play the game to enjoy the stories. I don't do farming, but I am sure it would do great in it. Now that it turned 50 I am done playing it.
Currently I am mostly playing my dual blade/SS brute, who will turn 40 today. And she rocks! The DB set is all about flashy moves and continous damage. She really shines. Probably the greatest villain I have created so far.
I don't really like chewing out builds. Some of it is personal preference. But mostly it is about discovering your character and the powers you can get. But if you browse through the Brute's forums almost every thread will have some spiffy build.

Welcome back. I am currently taking a break from COV, and playing Wow (NO Travel Powers!! Grr)
If you are looking for a brute for PVE and fun to play. I would go with a DB/EAu. Slot you Deff and resist dam with 3 early on. With the DB slot 2 Acc in each and depending on the power end reduction, helps until you get Energy Drain.
Once you get Vengeful Slice, slot it with a Knockdown invention set (can't remember the name) it gives 100% recharge rate.
