okay me and my friend james were trying to set up world of warcraft. his graphics were messed up big time. so i tried what any other wow player would do. edit the video options. I did that, disconnected. Did it again clicked okay and BING! Blue Screen Of Death! So if you have any tips for my friend please tell me. He is using a laptop so his graphics are integrated into the motherboard. thanks!

Reinstall WoW? :P
I don't know really, not that good with techy stuff, hopefully cr3ss will pop in soon. OR someone else who knows. :P

This friend, does he have:
1) Reverted to minimal settings?
2) Updated his drivers recently?
3) A windows PC or a Mac? If PC does he have...
4) DirectX installed? If so, gimme the basics of the diagnostics saved file please. Would like to know just a teensy bit about his computer before making any kind of comment on it.
It's pretty impressive to screw up with Blizzard's will-run-on-any-PC WOW. Kudos :-D

Well, his dad is like a IT professional so he will probably do something to fix it. Lol, i feel good to screw up something Blizzard related. :-D

Good! getting someone who knows about computers in physical proximity to the PC in question is generally the better solution over having a friend ask around for you on some forum :-)

Yeah I think reinstalling WoW would be your best bet. Or update your video drivers. Those 2 things solve everything when its a graphics problem.
@Lani - I think messing up WoW on a PC is extremely easy to do. Now on a mac, thats a whole 'nother story. =D

Gah!!!! If you got a big enough hammer, every problem becomes nail-shaped. Re-installing is not solving the problem at all, it's hoping it will go away on its own. Better to use your brains for five minutes than sit through hours of downloading and patching, but hey. That's a nice hammer you got and most things will go splat if you hit them with it.

Yeah, homogenous hardware platforms are a lot easier to code for than heterogenous ones like the PC platform. :-)
Same with consoles.
