| Farming: need an answer straight up |

just wanted to know some stuff about farming. i hear from some ppl that farming is completely allowed, and others saying that arenanet do all they can to prevent farming but adding farming codes etc. whats the go?

Arenanet are all in favor of people making farming builds and killing certain things to get money. However, what they are trying to get rid of is botting, using an automatic program to farm an area constantly, so certain builds are nerfed, the farming code prevents you constantly farming the same area.
its not farmers, but botters that anet are out to get.

farming is ALLOWED.
the only thing is that some people get so bored of it, that they install a 'bot' on their computer, and that is (i think ^^( against the EULA.
And a-net will ban those 'bots'.
HOWEVER, a-net can be mistaken sometimes. They can think a normal player is a bot.
so don't be too repetitive while you farm ;]

Farming is totally ok if you do it yourself. (I mean without any programs, bots)

Yea, farming is allowed, but botting is not. ANet have nerfed farming builds before, but only because those builds/areas were used for botting, which, according to EULA, is illegal.
So when you're just farming it's legal, but people have been banned for farming one area over and over and over again (Deathaxe have, right?). This is done because ANet thinks you're a bot. If this happens you can send in a support-ticket, and try to get the ban off you.
Farming is ftw!

To get them think your a bot really takes alot of farming...

That could well be true.
I farm like a demon and often in all the places bots are/were run. In 3 years I've never even had a warning.
There is a big difference between an account running for 48 hours straight, doing the same thing in the same place and a user farming, doing things slightly differently and chatting.
If you do end up being one of the very unlucky minority to be banned as a bot just send in a support ticket and anet usually seem to put things right.
