So.. to spend some free time I like to fly around in battlefield 2, I'm making progress, shooting enemys down ain't that much of a problem. but when someone is behind me I can't shake em off, does anyone got any tips how to lose someone thats on your tail? I tried stuff like going low between bridges and chimneys, up in the clouds and then turn half circle and head down again, nothing seems to work well.
So... any tips or methods you use, I'd like to hear em :D

when your getting chased , are you running around on the ground or are you flying something?
if your flying i guess do a leet turn and get behind him:P
or jump out and hit your parachute(spelling ftw)
been awhile since i played *downloads game:D*

What works for me from time to time (i only fly MIG's, others fly a bit sluggish or just too hyper), i just bank left and go down sharply at an angle, usually dangerously close to ground/objects, they will follow you, but if you managed to pull them behind you while cornering low over the ground you got the advantage they respond slower thus when you go straight down, corner & go up again they might react too slow and hit the ground.
The other way is just plain confusing them, usually i start spinning around in a circle towards the ground and see where they stop at, if you can't find a good way, fly at anything you deem important before jumping out last second, even debris can still kill.

It is not really my kind of game, but the people at battlefield2.gameamp.com might have some clever insights.

Something that works for me (I use joystick) is to roll to the left and than push the nose down in stead of up. Than quikly pull up again and if it's a little dumb*ss you're on his tail now =P Other one is just to keep going in an horizontal circle untill they give up, or suddenly change your route.. they usualy lose track of you after that.

Ive tried getting close to the ground, the only way to shake em then is to get over hills and mountain tops. or fly between high objects so they can't get a fixed aim.
Second I tried is roll left, stay horizontal, then roll right at once, the destraction of the left turn will (if he reacts to that) make him get in a larger circle and he needs to get back on my tail, in the meantime I can go anywhere beyond his sight so I have a chance, In theory it works :P yet I still fail at it.
Another thing I tried is to almost crash into enemy choppers. They will get my heat seaking warning and drop flares, which will also shake the missile behind me. Tho that doesn't make you get behind him :p
More ideas? :)

What are you typically flying? because if its the f35 then good luck lol. more often than not the f35 has no chance of losing a j10 (sucks because i love to play wake island) personally i'm a fan of the f-18

I dont fly too much since i only played infantry, but the best/funnest way i found is to use your inner super pilot. try to pull off the most complex maneuver to get them off, flip upside down and sneak under a very low bridge barely passing then barrel roll between two small buildings. On the one hand u crash like a true pro, or you still get owned, or you somehow sneak in behind him, or he tries the same thing and fails, or he realizes that you are the true Jesus of jets and suicides into a mountain.

Haha, if only possible. No but whenever I play any flight game I just make crazy motions, like fly at the ground and pull up, spin, and if all fails then get real close to them and parachute out
'Sort of' is such a harmless thing to say. Sort of. It's just a filler. Sort of - it doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, sort of means everything. Like after 'I love you' or 'You're going to live' or 'It's a boy.'

I think I may be the only one posting that has actually plays BF2 on PC.
I find it easiest (while flying J-10) to go straight up for about 3 seconds, then nose dive. As you are nose-diving, turn left or right.
This usually shakes them off. If you can manage to turn around, you can quickly shoot him down.

Im also playing it on the PC, tho I never thought there are big differences between aircraft. (besides the ones that have more bombs than missiles and bigger wings) but nothing related to turning, speed etc.
Any mayor differences? and what is the best plane to do air vs air with?

About a year ago, or maybe even 2 years by now, a bunch of near dead gameamp sites were removed from the pulldown list. We wanted to change from quantity to quality. for air to air the hardest jet to take down is the j10(chinese plane) it has the best handling and a really tight turning radius for dodging missles. the f35 that spawns on america's carrier is faster in terms of speed, but only in a straight line. its handling is terrible compared to every other fighter except bomber planes. the mig and the f18 are pretty balanced in both fields.

Hehe, remember when i tried dark and light, ( quite sure it was that one) and my computer is not really up t date but i can max out Bioshock playable... I though an mmorpg would be no probs but i got like 1 fps and even with settigns down low i could barely play :/.
Still O T: /Point *AN EAGLE* and then make a loop.
I swear, SOMEONE IS HOAXING MY POSTS TO MAKE MY GRAMMAR LOOK BAD!
