I was confused wether I should put this at the Rant & Rave section or the Trouble Shooting one.. As you know I'm bad at PvP, but my monking is pretty decent. Was monking in RA and got to 4 wins (I need 2 points to finaly gain g1). The loading screen comes.. and stays.. at 0%! Than I wait 5 minutes (if I don't ragequit GW) and I get this message:
Today is the first time I've ever seen this message in my life. The first time was after we lost round 2 in HA (thank god we didn't win) and this was the second time.
Nothing has changed on my side of the line, I'm sure of that. Is Anet just having a bad day when it comes to servers or is there something else going on?

Its a failure on YOUR side, probs a ISP or a connection problem. But read the first sentence for that

I have two computers. Sometimes the one I am playing GW on will kick me off do to network error but I can surf the net just fine on both. I find it weird and just think the connection between my computer and their servers got chocked and it kicked me off.
Sometimes just resetting all your connections will help. Clearing up the lines.

Won't get you Engineers and Technicians helicoptered in your backyard, if the problem persists and annoys you, remember you are only a phonecall away if its that bothering.
If that VIP treatment existed with that i'd have gotten it a long time ago.

Error Code = 005 2438 "Guild Wars was unable to connect to the game server due to a network error. This may be caused by internet routing issues or a server network failure." These error codes indicates a connection error. This means the connection between your PC and the server was interrupted, or never established. The problem may be on your system (firewall, router, modem, etc.), with your ISP or a connection problem at the server. |

Well let's hope it's only for today than. I encounterd so many DC's (we had some sort of USB internet that could pop out any moment.. if I made a droks run it would be a miracle) and I don't wish to relive that moment.

Speaking of USB, i don't want to make a new topic about it (sorry for potentially hijacking the thread)
Does anyone else also hear the ''USB Active'' sound in Windows XP when starting up Guild Wars? I heard it several times, but sometimes apparantly i dont hear it (or i got my sound very low), it kinda just left me clueless, as i've used a different windows version before which had the same thing going on.
Awkward.

Never had that one before. That's really strange, strange like wanting to open FireFox and IE opening...

Nope not that, haven't had that either, though i do know some games tend to suffer from that bug if you ALT-TAB too much.
I don't find it any pressing issue at all, it's just something funny, as if GW's is an USB device or something.
GW's on a USB Stick heheheh.

i began to wonder if the reconnect after disconection was dropped, cos i've had a few "lost connection" errors and never had the option to reconnect come up.

See if you can call your Internet Provider, it could be the problem lies at their side, if they say its clear, then you eliminated one possibility, and then its either Guild Wars server or on your side (router/Modem)
