First off i'd like to thank Villinous Vines for his/her guide ... Anyways, I play a Merc/Traps and after reading the guide i still find it hard to choose one. Being traps having an Immobile doesn't really appeal to me to much. So i'll pretty much start off with the defence power of whatever. then you get the cone power at 44, then a hold Dot at 47, but it seems like no matter which one i choose i'm still getting the exact same skills, just diff forms of dmg/dmg reduction
Any thoughts, cus i'll probably either go mako/scirocco just cause there cooler than the other two if there all the same.
well...Viv is a she and she does great work like that pretty often for all to enjoy...

All villain Patron Pools were designed to be very similar in action. The differences lie in damage types and how much damage done, as well as what types of damage is resisted or defended against. Also, pay attention to what debuffs are added with each different Patron. Scirroco's Electric attacks drain endurance and can slow recovery, while Scorpion's web attacks have slows, -jump, and -fly attached to them. Scorp's are generally best for PvP characters, because of the -jump/fly associated. I'm not sure about Mako's attacks, I imagine they have a slow effect to them, but I'm not positive. Ghost Widow's attacks all have -tohit attached to them, which can combo pretty well with the +def you get from Force Field Generator. Just a thought.
Good Luck deciding what to take, and if you need any other advice, let us know! We'll be more than happy to weaken..... err.... strengthen your build.... Yeah, that's right, strengthen your build....

I took the Mu Mastery Set.
Which means I took for my Patron.
I think it works pretty well with my Thugs/Traps Mastermind.
