I've got some weird problem with my ventrillo, it will not work when I try and use the push button in game. It will how ever work when I'm on my desktop or opened on internet explorere / mozzila.
Can anyone please explain to me why on earth it's not working in guild wars? As soon as I go onto it it doesn't seem to register my ctrl key (push to talk button) I've tried many different buttons :S

The CTRL key is used to see enemies in Guild Wars.
So, I advise changing your push to talk button to something not in use. (Check Guild wars key bindings in Options > Control)

well, i don't think the Ctrl key is a problem. But it's worth a shot checking if it works with other keys (that are not functional in Guild Wars)

i unbound my tilda key (also known as the squigly or the eñe) and used that for my push to talk key in ventrilo
IGNS:
Barbarian Two One O, W/Anything, All 3 campaigns beaten
Barrage Two One O, R/me/mo, mainly used for B/P
Monk Two One O, Mo Restarted for survivor title
Ganker Two One O, A/E going to use for ToPK in a little bit

F, Shift, usually T for ''Talk'', otherwise i use a Macro Key which is right next to the ALT on my keyboard (G15)

Well I can't figure it out :/ I mean I've changed so many buttons now and I can't do it, I can't find anything inside ventrillo that I might of accidentally clicked that maybe stops ventrillo when using a large program or something....I duno
Really really really really really really really really again really annoying :'(

Hmmm I can't really help you like this. Maybe if you took screenshots from all the "tabs" when you click setup I can compare it with my settings.
And I use left Shift. It's in reach and has no use in GW.
EDIT:
Here are two pictures to compare for you. One thing you could try is disabling the PTT (push to talk) and see if it picks up your voice in-game. (I highlighted this with a red stroke).
The other thing to check is making sure that when you press the PTT-key, you get to see --XMIT-- and a green icon in front of your name. (also highlighted with a red stroke).
Good luck with getting it fixed and let me know if this worked for you. I suggest you test while in windows mode first, than full screen.

sounds like the problem i was having
if u have windows vista u need to right click the desktop icon, then select run as administrator, that should do it.
+cred if im right coz im <3 :P

You could always right-click in the Taskbar where START is (or CTRL+ALT+DEL) and select Ventrillo, then go to Process and then set it on High Priority, worked for me on several occasions when apparantly my voice-chat would have short stops in it:
lik- is- har- hear-
After i did that it was solved, maybe it works for the Button aswell.

Haha yeah they should have held it inside for another 6 montsh and than come to the conclusion they made something that falls under the category "crap".. and than start over from scrap ;)

CTRL is the easiehst, i alwasy bind ctrl for speaking with friends.
I swear, SOMEONE IS HOAXING MY POSTS TO MAKE MY GRAMMAR LOOK BAD!
