I've been having a couple of issues lately with GW. I was hoping someone would know how to fix my problems so that I can get back to enjoying the game.
Issue #1: When I go into certain areas that have weather effects (i.e. snow falling or rain falling) my screen freezes up and I have to minimize/maximize my game to unfreeze it. It will usually keep doing it until I leave the weather effects area. Once I leave the area, then everything is just fine.
Issue #2: Sometimes when I go to salvage an item in my inventory, I lose my connection to the server. This has happened to me multiple times. And there are even some items that I can't salvage at all cuz it just repeatedly d/c's every time I try. So I usually just have to sell the item to the merchant as is and go on.
If any of you know what is causing this and how to fix it, then please offer me your advice :). I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

With #1 it could be that you need new video card drivers, or your current video card is really old. Not sure though.
#2 Happens a lot when you try to salvage really fast.

Thanks for the fast reply.
#1: It isn't an old card. I have an older card than this one on my other computer and it handles it just fine. So age shouldn't be the issue. I have a Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 (the one having the problems with weather). If it is my drivers, how do I need to update them? I went to try and update not too long ago and it said they were up to date -_-.
#2: It does it sometimes when I only salvage one item.

Cant help you but i can tell you that i had a bug with my clean white fellblade, everytime i treid to sell it to merchant i got error :D Everthing else worked just fine.

Had #1 aswell, and have the same video card. Issue got fixed after i got my motherboard replaced though

The first problem, as said before, is due to your video card.

Do you use TexMod??
When I am using texmod for cartopgraphy, I often zone in an area and get very crazy graphics glitches that get resolved simply by minimizing and maximizing back.
But I know my graphics card is getting old, plus the fans are going out on it, so it probably overheats. It is a Geforce 6800GT, it's past time to upgrade.
