I have that too, exactly the same but it only occures after I shut down uTorrent. Very odd and I can't find a way to get this fixed other than not running uTorrent before gaming =P

Well, you shouldn't even ask us for PC Specs, you should just give them right away so its far easier to spot the problem, so you know my question:
give em up them specs.
Could be anything that makes it drop, background programs (as Blazings stated), could even be a rare case of ''near'' overheating, that when it does go too high it starts revving up the fans, in a few seconds its cool enough again, and then goes back to normal, while almost at the edge of saying ''poof''
Could be a vault in the Operating System, mainly speaking about Background programs, you could just aswell have a Virus-scan checking your stuff from time to time.
Also, turn V-Sync off in options, see if that helps.
use this program if you don't have it already, it removes all temporary files and stuff you actually won't really need anymore (keep in mind which boxes you check, otherwise it removes saved passwords for example, and Links in your browser)

Start > Run > DxDiag is one of the ways to figure out what you got :)

You're not the only one with major lag spikes. It's very bad here as well.
I'm on Vista, have a Nvidia Geforce 7600 GT videocard, 1 Gb RAM.
I already reported it at A-net, but they think the problem is in my computer, and not on their servers. I think it's on their servers, because some of my buddies from the alliance have the problem as well.
Take care,
Sabine

=D There's your problem right there ^^ I tried Vista once and had the same problem, went back to XP Home Edition and haven't had a problem since :)

Not so true, I switched to Vista and have had no problems what so ever. But I am running 4gb of ramm so that could be what is making the difference too.

I get it sometimes, nothing you can really do for it, just the town or area loading, once its loaded fully it SHOULDN'T lag anymore tht gw session till you exit gw, maybe even your entire computer.
