this is my first rouge. i team alot with a hunter, warrior and sometimes a priest. i dont really want to go combat. im thinking a hybrid assassination subtlety. if anyone has any advice or builds that would rock

for leveling you really should go combat because most mobs are in large areas where there is really no need to stealth around and sneak behind them it just takes up time

A lot will depend on what you want to do with this Rogue. Are you interested in more PvP or PvE and raiding?
In the end, most raiding Rogues end up back with combat builds. But with PvP you have a lot more room to play with your build.

When i was leveling at lower levels i loved my sub spec but i did spend most of my time stuning and getting behind my target, which solo takes up time but as your with others if they can hold aggro nothing wrong with a backstabing build.
Combat has its advantages too and i often found i was able to solo kill mobs in groups of 4 with hardly any downtime.
In the end if your happy to spam the same 2-3 skills over and over go combat but since your in groups alot i personally prefer a good assin or sub spec.

I'm leveling a rogue right now, the only thing cool about leveling combat/swords is that you sometimes feel invincible and kill things as fast as 1,2,3. But like Arikara said it's boring as hell, but if you get a good set of swords you won't even mind the repetitiveness of it cause everything just dies super fast.
