i love a bit of controversy, all these threads about ursan tickle my nuts no end: its crap, no its not, no u, no U! its great.
anyway i dont get alot of spare time to play gw as much as i used to, so i'm not even sure how it works. is it a team build or solo? what is it specifically used for, and what is the actual build? (i mainly run an ele/mes) i've looked on wiki but its a bit too vague and too general.
i dont care whether people like it or not, so if you dont then go rant in one of the ursan rant threads, i'd just like a little clarification, not something degenerating into nonsense.

Too much threads about Ursan imo. Solution is just plain simple:
If you're not good enough to play GW normaly, you play Ursan.. other wise you don't.
You can compare it with an FPS: If you're bad, you play on easy (wich is in this case Ursan).

Ursan is an Elite PvE skill; used in combination with The Consumables: Grail of Might, Armor of Salvation and Essence of Celerity. A team of 6 ursans and 2 Healer boon monks can clear UW/Domain of Anguish and FoW in 1-2 hours. Most people do all their Dungeons with it. Other people say it doesn't require skill and that your a N00b when using it.
and since when don't we answer questions anymore??

and ursan? erm yea, it's a good skill..i guess? i only play it when i have to, like when i do doa/uw/fow :) far too boring for me to use in any other pve occasion

why is my thread pointless? i asked a perfectly valid question, not if it was good or bad, but what exactly is it, which timi has kinda answered and if anyone has else anything else to add, then please feel free. if not post in one of the other threads if you think its a crap build.

Guild Wars
Was team game, a team would consist of different professions, tank, nukers, buffers and so on. Now people makes monks because they look good and go out in teams with Ursan. Kinda RUINS the point why to choose profession since now the only thing needed is 2 -3 healers and 5-6 Ursans.
Skill based
Players made builds to complete hard areas, the builds was an import part in guild wars, Ursan Blessing came. Now EVERYONE knows how to play that build since it ALWAYS uses the same skills.
Elte areas
Guild Wars got a few areas which are considered ELITE areas, these areas were once a challenge, FoW and UW took some skills to do, and some time. Ursan came and now it does not provide hardly any challenge.
World of Warcraft
I have not played WoW but lets say THEY introduced a skill that made it possible to complete a 5 hours raid in 1 hour. Whats the fun in that eh?

I think all ursan threads from now on out included the 3 recent ones should be locked then permanently deleted, and if more come, same fate for those.
Im tired of coming to gameamp looking for real topic when all i see are the f*****g ursan topics.

Ok here is my final say on Ursan. Some of what I say will come from annoyance because of ignorant comments such as "Using Ursan means youre not good enough to play any other way". The rest is why I like Ursan. This is not directed towards any one person. It is just my opinion.
First and foremost to anyone who says using Ursan is because youre not good enough to play any other way. That is the biggest load of egotistical, self delusional, load of crap I have heard in a long time on here. Ursan has been around how long???? GW has been around how long now? Long before Ursan came about I did EVERYTHING there is to do in this game. I earned almost 15 million XP doing so. I earned my FoW armor the hard way by collecting all my ectos and shards. Not one single one was bought. I earned my Zodiac, Dragos, Celeatial, Urgoz bows long before Ursan came about. I completed all 3 chapters, including all quests. I earned every skill of every profession. I grinded out my 160K in Norm points. I didnt do handbooks to get it. And youre going to say that I use Ursan because I'm not good enough to play without it? Kiss my ass!!!! More importantly, I earned the money that I paid to buy all 3 chapters, plus the expansion. I will play anyway I feel like playing using what the developers have provided me to play with. Who the f*** are you to tell me how to play??? Does me using Ursan effect your game play? I think not!! So if you don't like Ursan, don't use it. But don't tell me, or anyone else, how to play or what skills to use.
Now that that is out of the way, why I use Ursan.
Because I enjoy it first and foremost. Second, I have a very busy life and more often then not I don't have the time to spend 3+ hours in FoW or UW. It saves me a tremendous amount of time. I have nothing left to prove by doing FoW/UW in a non Ursan group. Been there, done that, don't care if I ever do it again. Lastly, I have more fun with Ursan groups then I ever had with the others. People seem much more relaxed and fun to play with.
To wrap it up...If you don't like Ursan, don't use it. You have that freedom and that choice. No one is twisting your arm to do it. But don't insult me when you don't even know me. I will put everything I have in the game down that says I am just as good as you are, if not better when it comes to the PvE aspect of this game. My personal opinion is that all the "ursan haters" are nothing more then people who need to stroke their own ego's to make themselves feel superior to others because their own self esteem is low.
I apologize if what i said here offends anyone. This is my opinion, and I am entitled to it.
You have your entire life to be a jerk. So why don't you take today off?

the next time someone asks about a necro build are you going to have a go because its been asked so many times before? if someone asks about farming elona reach or something equally outdated, are you gonna tell them to get lost?

picking up on timi's information, Ursan blessing - Elite pve only skill, teams of around 6 ursans and 2 monks can clear out pretty much every high end place, dungeons, FoW/Underworld, DoA you name it it can be ursanwayed
Ursan blessing consists of 5 skills when you use the blessing these skills replace your actual skill bar until you revert back either manually or because youve ran out of energy thus forcing you to change back, the 5 ursan skills can be found here:
