ok has anyone ever used the fist weapons. if so whats the upside to them. Are they quick. I wouldnt think they would do alot of damage, ut maybe i could be wrong.

Our two main Rogues in guild are using fist weapons. They are generally at the top of the DPS charts. Of course this is where Rouges belong.
There are fast fist weapons. Generally you would want the faster version in your off hand, and it also depends on which class you are talking about, Rogue, Warrior or Shaman.
This is the set that my buddy Crookit runs with:
Gladiator's Right Ripper
Binds when picked up
Main HandFist Weapon
166-309 DmgSpeed 2.60
(91.3 damage per second)
+21 Stamina
Durability: 75 / 75
Requires Level 70
Equip: Improves hit rating by 9
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 15
Equip: Improves your resilience rating by 10
Equip: Increases attack power by 28.
Merciless Gladiator's Left Ripper
Binds when picked up
Off HandFist Weapon
102-191 DmgSpeed 1.50
(97.7 damage per second)
+27 Stamina
Durability: 75 / 75
Requires Level 70
Equip: Improves hit rating by 10
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 19
Equip: Improves your resilience rating by 12
Equip: Increases attack power by 30.
And these are the newer upgraded versions that you can get for heroic badge tokens at the Sunwell Armory. Our Rogue named Booster is currently using these:
Vanir's Right Fist of Brutality
Binds when picked up
Main HandFist Weapon
180-335 DmgSpeed 2.50
(103.0 damage per second)
+23 Agility
Durability: 75 / 75
Requires Level 70
Equip: Improves haste rating by 21
Equip: Increases attack power by 44.
Vanir's Left Fist of Savagery
Binds when picked up
Off HandFist Weapon
108-201 DmgSpeed 1.50
(103.0 damage per second)
Durability: 75 / 75
Requires Level 70
Equip: Improves hit rating by 21
Equip: Improves haste rating by 23
Equip: Increases attack power by 44
Notice how the off hand is quite a bit faster than the main hand. That's important for some of the needed procs for Rogues. The other classes that can use fist weapons might do well with slower ones. I only really gab with Rogues about their fist weapons.

Some fury warriors use them too, and same goes for them slow main hand for burst/big damage and fast off hand to build rage.
