hi
i reinstalled source the other day because some installed weapon skins went all wrong and i didn't have backup copies... i had the console binded to "o", i first got the console open by getting kicked from a server i think it was, and then i could just type the bind in there. but the thing is, it won't open under any ocasion :x
i have ticked the box yes, and i've been told there are other ways, by editing a config file in the css directory n stuff, but it doesn't work to me, probably coz i'm doing it wrong :(
can someone please explain how to? detailed plx?

Go to options > advanced options > tick "console" (or something similar to that).
Button is usually mapped to ` or ¬ basically the key next to 1 (depending on keyboard).

i said i alrdy ticked the box, i know how it is, it's not my first time :p it's just the button doesn't trigger it, i know it says ~ but it would be º on my keyboard, however nothing happens when i press it :(

Damb sorry misread your original post. Dont really know what to do then, try seeing if someone else has had the same problem on the steam forums?

I have no experience with CS at all, but if your keys are set wrong you can try to press crtl + shift. It's a shortkey that swappes keyboard settings (US and..).
Good luck getting it fixed, sorry I can't help you further.

Go to my games -->css-->properties-->set launch options-->
Type -console 1.
