only power besides soilders/spec/commando and the two upgrades i took from merc was slug, longest range, and that's just for pulling mobs.
From Traps
i didn't take triage, and seeker drones.
if only caltrops wasn't a lvl 2, i would probably sup that out for a power pool, i find once you get poison trap caltrops isn't as useful, but there nothing better to take at lvl 2 so :\

it's a good skill, but just outrageous recharge ...i originally thought it was good, since i would fight an eb no more than 16 minutes apart. but i realized that's just wasted space for something that could help me more often. an EB's could still plow threw my commando with serum if they wanted to.

Caltrops still can play a large roll though. They just become situational. I like to lay them in a narrow path way and pull the mobs on top of them. After that my henchmen do the rest.
Poison Trap is an awesome hold and the entertainment value is through the roof. There is nothing like a group of 5 or 6 minions standing around liberating the contents of their stomachs.
Always good for a laugh.

if i'm pulling things into a narrow path it ain't going to be for caltrops, it's going to be for my good friend trip mine ... i could be wrong but i don't belive any other power in the game can take an EB down to 1/4 health in one go.
it just takes 15 of 'em :)

True. Im not denying that they are "less useful" Im just saying they still have a function if desired.
And I love my Trip Mines!
