Once saw a documentary about it.
They have to rebuild it each year out of iceblocks from the river.
My uncle has won a contest and gets to spend the night there, I'm so jealous...

Reminds me of Die Another Day, the James Bond movie with the ice hotel in it.

The Ice Hotel is an annual recurring build for which every year a new architect is appointed. It is seperate from the eden project, shawnus; but similar things might have been build in other places as well.
Not only the hotel itself is entirely made out of ice and snow, also the furniture, chandeleers, dishes, glasses and even the beds are made out of ice (dont worry; they make sure you will stay warm in bed lol).
Not only exterior architects are involved, also interior designers are contracted to make the mentioned items above.
The Ice hotel is a popular item for weddings and special (family) occasions as well since they also build a chapel, restaurant etc.
For people who are interested, discovery channel broadcasts documentaries about the build and its use a few times a year :)
Also; there is a lot of information in libraries and internet about the construction, architecture and backgroundinfo.
the most general website for this project is www.icehotel.com clicky

What Shawnus is saying is that the dome used in the movie Die another Day, while representing the Ice Hotel, is in fact the dome of the Eden Project. It's just used to represent the hotel for the purpose of the movie.
This happens a lot in Hollywood movies, take a different building to represent another building, sometimes even in totally different countries. In fact, nine out of ten "European cities" you'll see in a Hollywood movie are actually Praag or Budapest instead. Americans won't always be able to tell the difference unless they've been to the real thing, but when I see Ocean's 12 it's rather obvious The Hague's Old Spoor is used to portray Amsterdam Central station.

Cause it resembles the same things alot, atleast, from "using the train" point of view, its awful and fun at the same time when the train almost flips over when switching 5 tracks in a row, let alone unaware tourists flying around.
No seriously, it IS that bad.

Yup. Same architectural style and build period. It made sense to use a more easily available location than Amsterdam CS. And The Hague sure could use the money, being bankrupt and all.
Yes the city hosting our nation's government is bankrupt. Our nation's capital hosting our nation's pride and joy (Red Light District) isn't... This should not be seen as a counter-argument that all politicians are whores though. :-)
Oh and, if you think switching 5 tracks is fun, go training or subwaying in London sometime. I forget what the place is called but it's 18+ tracks coming together.
