Exofluke's Signature Contest Part II

Once again another signature contest. However this time the rewards are a little better then my last contest and the judging will be different as well.

1. Judging will take place at the Nihonomaru.com forums. At these forums, several different elite signature makers will be voting on your signatures. How exciting right? ^_^

::THE THEME::
~~Guild Wars Pets~~

Idea: Submit signatures based on the pets in Guild Wars. It can be either your charmed pet OR a mini pet. It can also contain more then 1 pet in the signature.

::Maximum Sizes::

500 Width
500 Height

so...500x500

*Only the top 2 get prizes*

hmm im gonna have to give this a try. i like photoshop. i love the vector wolf. im gonna do vectors. oh yea can we combine pets or add stuff like wings and fangs to pets . i got ideas ya see, for a special pet.

hey does the image used have to be a screen of the pet ingame or can we use an image of a real animal as long as it is a pet in GW. cuz i got an idea but getting the shot i want in-game is impossible. id vector everything so doesnt look RL. what do ya say?

This contest is over. The judging will be taking place at the nihonomaru forums. The poll at the other forum will be up until I'm satisfied about the amount of votes. I'll announce the winners here and make sure that everyone sees the poll votes themselves to imply that "I WAS NOT" the only voter.

Hehe, yep, follow one of the 20 000 create a standard grunge/abstract sig tutorials.
I checked the sotw on the forums so, next time, a centered image of the pet, smash on some grunge brushes around it, over and under with little color variation. Tint it a bit with hue/saturation and ad a few glowing dots and you have an all time winner :P

Too Right mate, and here i was for nearly over a year Photoshopping away always trying to refrain using cheap brush and blur effects, trying to make the backgrounds i choose mix with the above layers. But thanks to this i can just go wild with my pointer saving me valuable time i can spend making a second sig with even heavier brush effects ;D

Anyways, its peoples choice i guess, my own opinion still is that its horribly easy, if thats ''Pro'' then im quite dissapointed, i thought Photoshop offered alot more beyond that scope.

Grunge effects don't mean crap on nihonomaru forum. It just takes a sense of style. I really do think after a few more votes...Lord Darksage will have the win. It's not about grunge style, it's all about the concept of art...how everything flows together. Look at all the past "Sig of the Week" threads on the nihonomaru forum...most the winners don't use "Grunge"....

True, Darksages is the best and i'd vote for his too, but i can't make anything that looks like that, i don't even know the names for that style or effects, and browsing nearly 10.000 tutorials doesn't make me happy, in the end, i did it for:

I guess photoshop's kinda depends really on what you know, what you find and what you see and inspires you, mine was a 5 minute workout and the only thing that caught most of my interest was the border, though horribly, i atleast tried something nice.
I'l ask around for it though, i can always see what styles i like to throw around.

google lots of help..... and pester the pros for hints :)
mine taken a day to put to gether...... but yes
if i could vote it would be hard to choose between
The Warrior of tim OR Lord_darksage.....

Both have a good natrul blend of colour
but Lord_darksage's white- red colours plus the mega text format...... Would take my vote..... (if i could)
