The temptation is killing me!

Well, recently I deactivated my CoH acount to go play WoW for a bit with my friend who finally got something to 70 so we can play together..

Then the problems started coming in..

First he hit his 70 on another server, so it apparently has to be me to transfer =P

Second, his acount got hacked or something, and his acount was frozen for a bit.

Then i12 open beta came out, and that means VEAT's are coming...

So now I am starting to want to play CoH really badly....
But should I leave the folks behind at WoW..

oh man i should get on that. I'm thinking about a MM but WP and I have a duo that I think he might be too busy to play. :(

anyone have a good, quick level-up build? i know that healers often are invited to teams, so i might do that...

Claws/regen stalker...mine levels fast. Just set the diff to Vicious, and use your hide....alot. Once you get assassins claw, set your noteriety to ruthless.

Thugs/Dark MM. Starts off a little slow (a very little slow) and BURNS through levels once you hit the teens. Teaming is welcomed, but not required by any means. I run on the highest difficulty solo and never die. (We're probably on the wrong side for this discussion, but that's ok)

put down the WoW, and walk away. I repeat put down the WoW, and walk away. lol

I made a rather unusual villian, a super strength/energy aura brute and propelled him to 50. Basically this guy is a stealth battering ram. when I got the energy cloak, he was stealthing missions. When he got into his late twenties, I could crank up the diff and with rage going he had no troubling hitting things way over his head. I enjoyed the build alot and cant wait to try the villian epics.

i actually tried ss/energy aura but didnt get far by any definition, stopped playing for a bit at lvl 10 or so because of the end drain (i think it was because of that...it was a while ago) and just never got back in. maybe if i play hard to 20 and get the stealth i'll get way into it, but now im working with my new bots/dark MM.

*grabs self by the shoulders after being intimidated a bit by the villains side*

and why is thugs such a sweet set? i know virtually nothing about it.

Omg a villain side chat on the hero side GA its a sign of the apocolypse, on the flip side, it works well to just make a Kin corr pure support, just hit 20 and be an SB bot for fast leveling, stalkers hit the levels up rather fast,although ild like to point out that, even as a stalker, teaming is better then solo, unless your teaming with triumphs Blasphomous in that case..ill leave you to see for yourself, running stalkers is easy though and can make decent - good xp all the time just shouting out LFT messages between missions although nothing replaces a good old SG and coalition

Flipside, thugs are awesome IMO becuase of having a tankish pet that goes into melee, aswell as the much envyed arsonist with all the fire damage aswell as the leadership buffs from the enforcers

IMO dont go with energy aura go with either ElA or wait for SR for brootes, just..dont...go...with...energy...aura...

Well energy aura isn't bad, I did dive into the healing power pool to get a self heal to make the whole build fly.

Upside to energy aura: good stealth power I like flying around grandville and not worrying about getting hassled by arachnos troops, the energy drain power is an auto hit if the targets are in range. I've been able to take over half someones end bar with one use in pvp, conserve power rocks making this pretty good on end use, and Overload hits the defence cap and is very nice.

Downside: no self heal, have to get aid self from the healing power pool (2 heal,2 interrupt, 2 recharge btw), its a 90% defensive set so what gets through your mostly taking it full force, which is why alot of ppl don't like the set.

Also because its defensive in origin your fury bar doesn't seem to grow as fast as other builds. the fury bar grows not only from the punches you connect with as well as the punches that hit you. My workaround for that was to 2 slot brawl (acc, rech) and autoset it. This way my brute just constantly throws punches and gains fury very nicely. Eventually i managed to put a kinetic combat IO chance for knock back in it and its now quite funny to knock someone down when you lean in with brawl lol.

Overall I wouldn't recommend the armor set for beginners. I built Big Puppy on a concept of making the biggest, scariest werewolf that was part hulk and part predator I could possibly think of but give him a utsy cute name. (this concept also started my puppy character craze that I am currently on lol)

Anyways back to blue side lol

I cant wait myself for the new updates. I want more slots to my home server (triumph), I am hungerly wanting to make a fire aura/spine scrapper, thinking that build will be carnage incarnate. I also would love to make my own story arc ala choose your own adventure stuff that they will have running.
