after a hiatus of almost 2 years, i've decided to come back to play. picked up all 4 games, to maximize my gaming experience again (tho i have little nightfall and eotn experience) and was curious as to opinions on what class and game i should go with. i prefer soloing, over anything else.
cheers.

if you prefer soloing, then i'd say go para.
because they are awesome in damage and in defence, and it would take you away from the solo aspect of the game and make you more of a team player, which i personally think is how the game should be enjoyed :)
but if its solo you want, go ele, as they are great for solo farming

Welcome back, alot, and I mean ALOT has changed :) May wanna check here for the updates. There's alot :P but some of it may be worth reading ^^
As for which Professions;
Factions: Assassin and Ritualist are both great to Solo stuff.
Nightfall: Dervish is nothing special, its an ok class if you like to be on the offensive and be somewhat supportive.
Paragon, imo, is best used for party buffs not much in the Solo Department. :)
Edit: Yea, trust Stan on the Ele thing :P
Stan = The Man when it comes to Solo Ele Farming ^^

Well, that all depends on what you like to do. I ,personally, like my Necro above all of my other caster characters. You can do heavy damage while supporting your team whether it be party heals or weakening the enemies so if they do actually hit any monks, it wont be for much.
For my Melee ones (I only have 2) Id say I choose my Assassin over my Warrior. Nothing beats an Assassins combos on a single target :P

For soloing (h/h) I'd say go for Derv/Para. My favourite professions.
