I'm just wondering, because when I first came to AMP it was all about the cattleprod and thejeni owning cookies. The dungeon is still around, but the other two just sorta left. Now, are these things still around and I am just stupid, or have I become virtually old?

They might still be looking at the site i dunno. I don't remember alot about when i came, i do remember my first topic being about spamming and it was one hardcore rant thread, lots of hate brews and rage, hell i started one hell of a storm when i came here.

Nice, I dont even remember what my first topic was. Although it probably was a question, I was an uber noob back then (Healing Breeze on a sin FTW! :D)
'Sort of' is such a harmless thing to say. Sort of. It's just a filler. Sort of - it doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, sort of means everything. Like after 'I love you' or 'You're going to live' or 'It's a boy.'

I feel old now >.< I was around before the cookies/cattleprod phase... I was one of the first 20 members of AMP, back when Silly Ranger was leader.

Whoa, I never knew Silly Ranger ever leaded AMP. Then again I never knew Silly Ranger at all!

It's replaced by a gentle touch and some subtle words. But I know Grif keeps one just for safety purposes... ;-)
But really, what should we replace it with? A tennis racket?

Nah; i stole the cattleprod when i resigned SM & staff position to aid me in the officers task in [MU] ;)
Nah; thejeni still lurks around from time to time, but is busy with her RL job and personal stuff. Not in contact as much as i did; but last thing i heard was that she is doing fine :)
Things change on Fora; people come and people go :)
Some of us are dinosaurs now ;)

Whoa! Maybe Silly became leader after I left, though I seem to recall handing the reins to Evil Geek rather than Silly. Anyhoo, when I founded AMP Silly was an officer (in charge of recruiting) and Jeni was threatening me with her cattleprod, so I think you're a bit off target :-)
The cattleprod always was and always will be more of a staff insider thing (don't think too deeply there...)than a general members thing. The cattleprod is the more humane means a Community Manager has to get staffers to work.
P.s. I think we should try to get Wyat into Fish Slapping.....

I have heard of the cattle prod, but like Lani said more of a inside staffer thing. I do not know of the orgins of the "Fish slap" but I do know it still happens in AMP.:)

haha i still remeber a time when AMP website people where trying to make there minds up wether to join TC or just start there own AMP guild lol
also remember silly ranger being a TC member till he left for amp
i have been around amp in some way since beffor the amp guild was even thought of (i was a web site user :D)
i even used my second account to become a full time meber as soon as i got it, little did i know that later i would be joining amp with my main ;)
glad to be with u guys :D

hmm.. i think the first time i ever joined amp forum was around the early summer 2006. Though i did read the forum about from christmas 2005. :P
I keep re-naming my accounts with the main character i make so.. that's why i got so many of them.

I remember playing GW during beta in 6th grade....
I remember when I first found AMP on TC forums hehe
I joined TC the 1/2nd week it started.
Then I jumped around from TC to MU to AMP then to TC
But, I remember the old days hehe
Running around
Thinking I'd be rich off farming Drakes for gold weps n all with their drop rate in GoK
Those were the days.
Now its all farming FoW,UW, doing ursan constantly
becoming the best
Hero/Henching lots of things cause everyones farming n such.
But, luckily, I found some of those "oldies" who keep the spirit in
*hint hint* jarm *hint hint*

And yes
I remember when Lani was leader and silly took over
funny as could be....
If anyone remembers

I thought that Silly started it, then handed over leadership to you as soon as you joined, because you were SM. The whole time you were leader, it said "made leader by Silly Ranger" or something like that. Whatever, I remember when Silly gave me the invite- I was in RA, D'Alessio arena :D

I created the Guild Gameamp Guides on my second account, mainly because my Lani account was still in the Dutch Doom Brigade at the time. I then made Silly Silly the leader and transfered my second account to DDB and switched my Lani account to AMP where Silly promoted me again. Sometime later my second account got transfered into AMP. It's not there anymore today because at some point no-one remembered that was me and kicked me for inactivity :-)
