Out of the ashes of this forum will arise a new forum; one forum for every separate community. The community playing on the US servers will have their forum and the players on the EU forums will have another. To give birth in the most optimal way, we have to gather our forces and concentrate them on the new forum, or the shining light of the phoenix will only be pale and shallow.
Sometime on 17th of May this forum will cease to exist, to make way for the new and nice looking forum, with more categories, more space for you, and a new community to discuss your gaming experience.
This forum will be usable only for Early Access players until the launch, and then it will open up for all players that start to play the game.
We hope you like what we created for you and welcome your new home as much as we welcome you in it.

Yes, that's a senior Community manager giving under 24 hours notice of Forum closure as if it's days in the future. Makes you feel like clicking that 'here' is pointless, which is why I didn't include the link.

I just got up and was noticing that all of the funcom sites are unavailable. The tech support forum was flooded with all kinds of folks having problems trying to get their EA to install...I hope they all resolved their issues.
So, since our 'old' forum that promised a free drinking cape over a year ago is gone, does that mean the cape is too? lol
Do you think we'll need to create a new forum account via our funcom account page now?

I assume that since you are an Early Access player, you can login somewhere into pristinely empty forums?
