Ok folks. I'm not as villainy as I used to be. I'm running a L41 Stone/Energy Brute and he dies...a lot.
Could someone come up with an effective build for me before I shelve him forever?
Thanks!

Go from scratch. I just did a respec. (One of my freespecs). I'll see how that works, but it's something like this:
Stone Fist: 6 slots (Acc, Acc, Dam, Dam, End, End)
Stone Mallet: 6 slots (Acc, Acc, Dam, Dam, End, End)
Heavy Mallet: 6 slots (Acc, Acc, Dam, Dam, End, End)
Fault: 6 slots (Acc, Acc, Dis, Dis, End, End)
Seismic Smash: 6 slots (Acc, Acc, Dam, Dam, End, End)
Build Up: 3 slots (Rech, Rech, Rech)
Tremor: 6 slots (Acc, Acc, Dam, Dam, End, End)
Kinetic Shield: 4 slots (Def, Def, Def, End)
Power Shield: 4 slots (Def, Def, Def, End)
Entropy Shield: 1 slot (End)
Energy Drain: 3 slots (Rech, Rech, Rech)
Conserve Power: 2 slots (Rech, Rech)
Overload: 1 slot (Def)
Air Superiority: 4 slots (Acc, Acc, Dam, Dam)
Fly: 2 slots (Fly, Fly)
Swift: 1 slot (Fly)
Health: 2 slots (Heal, Heal)
Stamina: 3 slots (EndMod, EndMod, EndMod)
Hasten: 2 slots (Rech, Rech)
Aid Other: 1 slot (Int)
Aid Self: 1 slot (Int)
This is level 41 currently. More will be placed in Aid Self and Overload soon.

maybe i'm a turd.... no wait, i am a turd. but, i would drop fly and get leaping: combat jumping and super jump.
also,i've always looked at brutes as damage dealers and not ta(n)kers. your best defense is offense (imo). i would slot all your attacks 3acc/3dam. on build up 3rech 3tohit and 3rech on hasten. 4 slots on health and stamina and aid self slotted 3heal 2rech 1int. just throwin it out there. hope it helps =D
maybe you could drop stone fist and get somethin' else? don't ask me what. just a suggestion.

Actually Ron, after looking at your build the only thing I can suggest is respecing into Tough and Weave. I can honestly say if I were buildling a Stone/Energy Brute my build would a lot like yours.
Maybe someone else has a better suggestion for you..

My reasoning for the Air Superiority/Flight was Air Superiority's damage mitigation. An extra attack plus a great chance of knockdown helps with mitigating damage from the things that Fault didn't knockdown.
Also Stone Fist is one of the best attacks in the Stone Melee set. Fast recharge is EXTREMELY important for a Brute. Stone Melee has some slow recharge powers. Also, for slotting, I did the End Redux because of the Fury Bar. Brutes don't need 3 Damages in their attacks, they need to keep moving to keep the Fury bar up. End Redux helps that.

just a suggestion. =/
never played energy aura before.
i understand the reason behind AS, i just don't like it. i mean it's cool and all but i'd rather spend those power slots on somethin with a little more potential.
and if your build "dies.... alot", then maybe trying somethin else is the fix. like i said before: just a suggestion.
conserve power and energy drain should allow you to slot your attacks differently (from what i've read).
i don't have problems dieing..... alot on my ss/elec, ener/elec, stone/invul, elec/fire, stone/wp, ss/wp brutes. and those are some general margins i stay in.
just tryin to help as per your request.

for anyone who doesnt realize this, try it out. it does wonders. having the 2 ends per attack makes all the endurance problems vanish, and keeps fury at a high lvl without need for worry on your end

Considering that SM and EA are some of the most end hungry sets for brutes, and brutes are naturally end hungry, i can see the reasoning behind the end mod and reduxes everywhere, but unfortunetly, theres a reason that BOTH stalkers and Brutes have Energy Aura... its not all that good, in comparison, IMO it still has the best tier 9 ever, what patron did you take, and if you havent i suggest Ghost Widow, the -Acc cone and AoE makes for a good defense, and the only other thing i can suggest is looking into Energy cloak its 3.75 defense unslotted, so its not half bad when energy aura doesnt have enough defense skills to begin with.

This is where I am right now. I'm level 43 in this build. The levels are NOT accurate for slots, but where they're placed ATM are.

Oh, and I should add, it's working remarkably well. It's endurance heavy, but Energy Drain recharges quickly and it's autohit! I have NO downtime and run on Invinc. It's really pretty amazing.

Glad to see you took Tough and Weave! Yeah you are going to be End Heavy, but with Endurance Reductions and Set bonuses you should be able to counter it somewhat.
I noticed you were up to 43 the other night so GRATS!

It's really not as bad endurance wise as I thought it was going to be. I do burn through endurance, but with the heavily slotted Energy Drain (3 recharge, 2 end mod) I can fill my endurance bar with only 2 enemies around me and it recharges quickly enough where I can use it in almost every fight if needed.
I intend to slap one more slot in Energy Drain so it's 3 rech and 3 end mod, but that won't be until 45. In the mean time he's pulling Invinc missions without much difficulty. So...yay! Thanks for all the advice folks!
