As the new SM on the GA GW site, I have felt the urge to host a new contest for a very long time. It is with a great deal of pleasure that I am now allowed, after some considerate planning, to introduce you all to the brand new Extreme Makeover Contest.
I haven't changed my avatar since the day I first joined this forum, which almost 2 years since now. It's hard to believe, but for the past 2 years I've stuck around with a pumpkin on my head. That's right, I've never changed my profile picture. Ever. It has just stuck around for good and bad times, without ever getting a a replacement.
But that's up for a change now, and you can make it happen. With some help from 2 valuable and former GW players who are very known on these forums, we are going to change my avatar for the better (or possibly worse).
The basic rules of this contest is simple:
- You have to make a brand new avatar and signature for me to use.
- 3 entries are allowed per member.
- The entries must be within the forum guidelines (IE; no porm, flames or spam, etc)
- The sig + avatar can be whatever you want, and in whatever style you want.
- The deadline is June the 9th.
How is this getting judged, you ask? Well, out of the large selection of ideas that will be popping up, my 2 fellow judges will be picking out 10 entries which they feel represents me in a proper way. But before explaining into further detail, let's at least introduce them!

Yes, both should be well known to most of around here as good people. They will pick from all your submissions, so remember to try and please their eyes in the best ways possible. I have heard that they are open for bribery, but only if it's TheJeni's cookies or an hefty amount of booze. ^_^
Then after they have picked 10 entries comes the exciting part, the public voting. In the most democratic way, after Drag and Lani has settled on 10 avatars and signatures, it's up to you guys to vote! That's right, the avatar + sig with the most votes by all the members here on GA will be my new fresh face. No matter how silly it is. I'll give my word on it:
I hereby pledge to use the new signature and avatar for 2 whole months, no matter how fancy or stupid it looks.
It can brag about the creator of the sig, brag about me, ridicule me, be a black box, be absurd, anything is possible.
The sky is the limit, and I hereby promise I will be using it for 2 whole months

So yes, a lot of good stuff to win for those who want to participate. In addition, every entry you make gives you 5 credit, so if you enter three times you are guaranteed 15 credit just for participating.
I strongly urge you to enter the competition, it does not matter if you are a photoshop-addict or barely know how to use paint, the judges will pick their entries on many various criteria so we can get a wide range of avatars to vote on. I'm your canvas, now bring out those pencils!

Hey, I didn't know you were the SM. Congratulations. I don't really understand this contest though, don't see what's wrong with never changing your sig and avatar.

can change the ''Hope'' symbol, but i thought it was a nice addition, its not meant pro-Usa.

Let's see... I am not a very patriotic guy, I could care less about which country I am from, what matters is who I am as a person.
I do like most colours, but green, black and blue have always appealed more to me than others.
I tend to listen to mostly stuff in the rock/jazz/punk/blues/alternative spectre, so there's a lot to choose from there.
Any favorite animals? No, not really, dogs are cool, but I don't mind cats either.
You shouldn't think so much about what I like really, as I am not even part of the judging process. Try to make something that will make Lani and/or Drag laugh instead ;-)
And pictures will be added in this post the moment I get hold of some good ones!
