Summer Holiday

Some of us at least the ones still at school are getting ready for summer holiday in a few weeks.

What are your plans?

Mine is to go to our summer gottage and lay on the dock prolly playing GW with a laptop.. or something like that. ;]

Well, I'm going to Europe for 2 weeks! Visiting London and stuff :D (I live in America)

Well going from $.70 a gallon when I started driving to over $4.10 a gallon is kinda nuts. Has Findland risen that much? Almost 600% in the last 15 years? Not sure, I do not know prices over there. Back on topic, 2 Canoe trips with like 20-25 people Big bon fires and lots of inebriating drinks=)

Well, ok not maybe 5 times more, but..

1 Gallon=~4.5L right?

Here it's 1L=~1.5€ so..

4.5 x 1.5€=6,75€

your gallon=4.10$

our gallon=6,75€

6,75€=10,44$

So we pay more than twice the amount u guys do.. chill out.

Working as a lifeguard all summer at one of the pools, saving that money for college, but then in the off time. Probably going up north and also lots of trips to the beach since i only live about half hour away from one of the biggest lakes in the US :)

I've got a slightly busy schedule tbh...

First I'm off to my summer cottage, then it's time for me and my dad packing up the car and go snowboarding (yes, snowboarding. We've still got some snow in the mountains here) on a road trip. When we get back we will be heading straight for the Montreux Jazz Festival, after I've worked 2 weeks. Once I then get back I'm visiting my GF and going to another music festival, and then finally (hopefully) just taking her and family to the cottage where we will visit other friends which also have cottages. We've got a new boat, so it should be fun trying it for a ride.

Summertime is busytime...

LOL..I am chill. I was just stating that it has risen a bunch in America, is all. Does not really matter how much it is in Finland. Just has went up a ridiciolus amount here, hence why Kanna and many other americans stay closer to home this summer due to the rising and over priced gas here is America.

Going on summercamp with the boy scouts (im going as supervisor or whatever you call it in english :P) thats good fun keeping the kids busy. (see picture below)

Well yea it has gone up here too. It use to be way under L/1€.

And i was also stating that there's really no reason for the americans to cry about gas prices that are these days as much as it was here back in the 1985 or something..

I am going to go on holiday with my friends to lanzarote!! My first time on holiday and my first time outside of the UK!! (Apart from being born in Germany)

Lets hope my plane doesn't crash and I die!! >.<

and about the gas prices, I so know! In England we get taxed to hell (because our goverments crap like that) the cost of gas is just ott! Everythings going up! Take advantage of it while you can I say, I just thinks things are going to keep going up and up....and not in a good way!

I'm going to sit on my butt and play Guild Wars all summer.

Ok maybe not, i'll probably go to the beach and help my grandma with her *gulp* 10 acres of land.

But a vast majority of my time will probably be on Guildwars or computer related stuff, because...I don't really have anything else to do xD

can't be worse then the netherlands. no one trusts eachother. this week the was a meeting where everyone was against the 'minister president'. ' when you can't handle it, call the queen that you need some rest' and 'why are you doing this job when you can't handle it anyway' etc etc. that's what the leaders of the netherlands do...

LMAO....that is not the point. You guys have jumped $2.00-$4.00 in 20 years, we jumped $2.00 in 2 years. Thats where the problem for us is, for the people that have the problem. Who was cryng about prices again? I noticed some one pointed it out, other than that,did not see any one else crying about it. Comparing price in gas per country does not matter. The point that was being made, was how much gas has gone up in America, No other countrys. It has risen so much here (America) in a short span that some people would rather spend their vacation at home instead of the car ride camping or where else they may go. Once again has nothing to do with the prices on the continent of Europe and surronding places. Europe is higher priced in gas, the US dollar is worth less than the pound, what does it matter? Everyone that pays for their gas in Liters (with the exception of Middle east) I feel bad for, you guys/gals pay a ton. Here at home it has went up $2.00 in two years, which is a big increase for Americans. America Vs Europe=different economys..I beleive we can agree on that. So that being said different prices on consumer prices. LOL...why are we even still talking about this soooooo off topic.

In closing Europe pays to much for gas!!! America is paying to much for gas!!! We could all move to Kuwait and pay $.80 per gallon.

No One trusts eachother? Don't know where you got that from, Politics has always been deluded, they don't understand the public, and vice versa, cause they talk utter crap in return, you can use alot more words then trust to sum up that.
The country itself isn't in bad shape though, there's alot worse places to be at, i still say that Governments without a good Vacuum cleaner tend to grow beyond controllable size, often the head does not know where the arms are swinging, and they in turn dont even know what the hands are holding.

I don't bother alot with that at all, though the new party ''Proud of Netherlands'' atleast has someone at the top who atleast attempts to understand the public, hence the popularity at the moment.

I'l be working in order to do Final Exams for my job this summer, there's one guy who has been working for 2 years there now, and racked up enough hours that he got himself 3 months of Vacation, he said one month in the Outback in Australia to hike, and another 2 months in the Asian-block mingling with the local population and such.

And for hte high prices, point at the goverment. 75% of the gas price is due to taxes here. The cheapest way is to get a station wagon that runs with diesel, take off the backseats and register it as a van. That helps you save a few hundred € per year on diesel taxes. Even cheaper if you use that peteroleum that trucks use. :P
