Of course the whole night time personal quest/story is great but there are some amazingly cool daytime quests as well. Two of them stood really out so far for me.
Genzio. This poor guy is going crazy with voices in his head. It has some very cool twists. Especially when you think it is over, you discover that the unreliable captain is really as unreliable as he seemed, and you have to run once more all over town.
Sneaky guy next to the traders, forgot his name. It is brilliant how he managed to link the night time adventures into the day. He is blackmailing you into getting him in the resistance. Great story telling!
Too bad that although I am playing on the official RP server I have yet to see anybody taking time for the stories. They were actually complaining that Genzio's quest was boring them because it involved too much running around.
Any other cool quests I should know about?

At level 40 theres a quest to help a gold farmer =D.
You get to help him make deliveries, help the farmer being ganked etc, really fun. His catch phrase is "You give me 100 gold, I give you 90 gold in few days!"

In Old Tarantia you get to chase an urchin who stole a drunk's purse, only to find out it's his own son who dun'it.
There's also a ghost who wants you to return the dagger that slew him to his former beloved. The choice is yours to mention that it was her current hubby who did the stabbing.
There's so many smaller and greater Quest lines that, even when they're really just "Fedex" or "Bounty" Quests, have a nice, somewhat darkish touch to them that are really great and fit the world of Hybornia as I know it from Howard (and later Jordan) books.
Oh, and also in Tarantia, there's someone who wants to scale a wall and slay the fierce guard dog on top of the tower for a gem. Gallantly you step in and make use of some nearby brushes to get on top. I nearly peed my pants when I saw the guard dog...

There's more great quests in Old Tarantia's Noble District.
Like talking to daddy about the fact mommy's dead. Only she's walking the streets too...
Or, hunting stray dogs for a butcher who doesn't ask questions.
Or, running errands for a Gold Seller, who lost his farmer somewhere in Cimmeria.

Last night I was sent to find the treasures of the Ancients. A small small dungeon area next to the Pyramid of the Ancients. I won't say much else about the quest, but it was brilliant! Things like this is what makes playing this game such an joy! If you have a change to visit the aera do not pass it up. It is for the higher 30's.

I'm gonna second that - this quest is well worth going on a detour for if your the right level :-)
I also like the one in Cimerria (sp?) with the hat lovingly made for the man of her dreams out of.........
