I'm trying the Dungeon Siege 2 demo. I played Dungeon Siege 1 more than once.. It was my first game actually. Then Morrowind and Oblivion and a few things in between.
Ok Dungeon Siege 2 is quite different from the first one.. I'm not really clear on what to do when you step on the pad to do the chants..
Ok so stepped on the pad to activate it.. Now what? The directions aren't clear.
had about 175 gold to begin with.. then became a prisoner with 0 gold.. but the Innkeeper wants 500 gold..
yeah right lady =lol= I have like 2 gold and the monsters aren't really dropping anything at this point.. I guess it's not a companion game like the other one was.. Real dissapointed with that... So now she fights alone because she can't afford to pay 500 gold that she doesn't have =lol=
also how can I arrange the party? When or if I ever get a party =lol= I see no way to do that.. And I also see no way to have them continue fighting... I must keep clicking till each monster is dead.. I seem to recall in Dungeon Siege 1 that there was a way to only click one time and then they would keep going.. Making it possible for me to pay attention to the need to heal or drink potions..
Right so she has 2 gold and 2 potions.. Forcing me to cheat since she has no way to pay for the companion.
Was that the intent of this game?
and just one more before I forget.
How do I enable and take screenshots? =s=

open the adventures book and look for the part whit the chants. select the chant you want and push recite chant.
Alternative once you found a chant you can press enter and type the latin text from the chant ex.: chant of the dead is vox mortem.

ok for starting you can have 2 party members so you can easily pick deru or lothar at the gate for a third you need 500 a forth 1500 i think a fifth is 5000 and veteran and sixth 10000 and elite
also how can I arrange the party? When or if I ever get a party =lol= I see no way to do that..
once you have more party members you can rearrange them by switching there prtraits like in ds1.
there are no longer formations from ds1

in the options under the game tab i believe there is an option to make them act as in ds. but that isn't exactly the same so there is a smal file on the net that you can download and they will auto attack and auto drink potions

i believe it is printscreen or f12 and the files are stored in a map under ur documents near your saved files

Thanks a bunch =s= these forums seem pretty dead ,, I found a couple of mods I wanted but that forum also seems dead...
Wanted the hair unlocked mod for one... not sure if mods work the same as MW or OB.. I see no files that would be textures or meshes.. at least not the type I am used to seeing .dds or .nif files..
could edit them myself if I could see them =L=

I believe this game wasn't as succesfull as the original but it's a fun change once in a while.

You mean you don't know how to install them? It's mostly putting the .ds2res file in the rescource folder of the path where you installed the game.
could edit them myself if I could see them =L=
I don't have any modding skills i tried it but it was way harder than working whit the files from battle for middle earth.

I play the hotfix and aranna legacy and further there aren't any real pursuits unless you want uber chars there is a mod that gives 4 points on level up and off course a unique shop.

I'm doing ok now except I can't find the cave to rescue the little dryad girl... Is there any good walkthroughs?
I guess it is pointless to try to find out where the meshes and textures are anyway, since I can't repackage them and put them back anyway ..=shrug=
odd little packages those... =L= is there an economy mod? paid 199 gp for a cuirass and next day sold it back for 15gp .. -lol= what a ripoff! =lol= those merchants must be filthy rich with markups like that =lol=
Also the update says that they added support for mods.,. so do I still need to use this one for my saves or no?

I don't really know but knowing microsoft tells my gut to keep using it.
About the cave i thought it was between the 3th and 4th morden tower on you right after a climb and you should get a cut scene
And there are no mods that can give you a better sale. You can however use guru's rare everywhere to get expensive drops on all kills if you're in need of cash or you can use the cheat opnauticus
Also handy to get more cash is the so called bush farming whit survival and aquatic affinity you harves the potions save and restart the game it's not really advisable on the low levels of those skills but it pays of starting level 5 to 8(medium to large potions)
And off COURSE searh in EVERY dungeon for secret rooms and discover the walls(limits of the area) in the game world(it'll help you whit Tanzi(dryad girl) aswell and many others)
