I think you picked the wrong thread to state your question, but, before it can be answered, we need a little more info. Like, did you dl the trial version, did you buy the game, are you having problems with character creation in general, or logging onto the game in general?

Hey hey every LOTRO player.
Some of you might know me from the Guild Wars section of Gameamp, some might not. Where actually in the Gameamp guild for quite some time, really enjoyed it :)
After I left Guild Wars about a year ago, i have been enjoying the lands of middle-earth in company of my 2 brothers. My starting character where the often critizied lore-master, which at that time where called weak and useless. Even though the bad feelings from the crowd, I felt something good for this class and kept on playing. She is now my first lvl50 character with about 4/6 of the famous Rift-set.
My second character is a champion, which is not the most desired character when playing in a fellowship. Even though I think he's good, and so does my nearest friends in game. I really love this class because of the effectiveness of the melee damage, and the way you can play him. My truely love in Guild Wars where a warrior, so couldn't think of a game without a good fighter. He's also lvl 50 now, and i'm now working at some different set-ups for him.
I have alot of others characters which isn't that high yet. I prefer to get to know the class before I go and try another. I know my limits, my strenghts and my weaknesses, and it is what this game is about. You need to know what you are doing, and what your fellows are capable of.
If you want to speak with me, your welcome. Might be a bit hard, since LOTRO is divided in US and EU, and then different servers.

Hey Kenze, consider this a formal welcome to this side of Gameamp- even though I've seen you occasionaly around here for a long time. =)
Similar to myself, I moved here from little more than 2 years of Guild Wars, I've also played Knight Online for a few months here and there.
As soon as I heard this game was going to be created I started digging up all the media I could find, it looked great! I started playing in closed beta just before some of my exams, and so I had to start revision just as the game was released- to my great dismay.
After the exams I remember fondly the time where I started the game (lifetime subion) and chose the burglar as my desired class- I'm really happy with my choice. I switch back to the other games, before mentioned, every few months or so, to keep things fresh, and I'm hoping to start a captain on lotro next.

Welcome Kenze!!!
I was also in closed BETA last year, but due to horrible lag issues, my husband and I decided not to buy it. I was very disappointed since I really enjoyed the game. Guild Wars was my first online game, so LotRO was very different for me as a result.
At the beginning of the year, I realized GW was getting a bit stagnit for me after 3 years of playing it almost daily. I still enjoy GW, but I am now to the point of pretty much just grinding with existing characters to get titles and starting a new character atm doesn't appeal since all I can think of is all the quests I need to do before I get to anywhere interesting. lol I then dl'd the trial of LotRO and got excited over it all again. For my birthday, my husband bought us both lifetime subs figuring if we play this for even half the time we have so far with GW, we would get our money's worth. I am enjoying every minute of it.
I have a dwarf guardian..which is odd for me cause one, it is a male char which I never played on GW and it is a melee char which has never been my cup of tea. I am thoroughly enjoying him though and get a kick out of keeping my husband's elf hunter out of trouble. I also have a hobbit burgler which I also enjoying. Both are still low...in their 20's, but I am having so much fun. My dwarf hit his first gold piece the other day which I feel was a milestone. lol
If anyone is in Elendilmir, feel free to drop me a tell: Tegar or Rivka

Well..I will try to help as I am able. Did you buy the game or have you downloaded the free trial? Or is downloading the free trial what you are looking to do? lol Go to http://www.lotro.com/ to dl the free trail...mainpage right side and follow the prompts, tis easy though depending on your computer the actual downloading may take up to 6 hours.
If this doesn't help...tell me exactly what you are trying to do and I will help.
Thanks, and WELCOME TO GAMEAMP!!!
