Too bad Opera is still better.....I see a few new FF features that were added that have been in Opera since I started using it like a year ago. :P

I just downloaded it and it's looks great! Though the spelling check in dutch is a little annoying when posting on english forums ;)

+cred

Edit:
This line:

It's now suddenly white in stead of brown? Anyone has the same thing or is it just me =\

RE: Firefox 3 released

believe it or not, those lines are suppose to be there. The problem is they are default unformatted Horizontal Rules (they are not simply called lines in HTML, abbreviated HR).

What you see is how Firefox 3 and Opera handle unformatted HRs, it is correctly handling them....the problem is this site was likely designed in IE where those same HRs show up as a single pixel height, usually white....like the bottom edge of what we see.

So in other words, its a site error, nothing wrong w/ FF3 or Opera :P

EDIT: Tried adding a formatted line and its something beyond that that is bugged on the site, if you go to any other site with < hr size="1" color="white" /> it puts a 1 pixel-tall white line, for example: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_hr

Go there and play around with whats inside the < hr /> tags, such as adding color="white" right after the hr (with a space of course).

Simply put, its a bug on the website, but probably not one big enough to complain about.

World record in downloads dont mean the browser is better, it just means people have to redownload to reinstall it to fix problems :)

No I'm not saying FF has major problems that would require a reinstall of it, but I am saying downloads mean nothing.....to find out which browser is the best, try them then name your favorite. In my case, firefox WISHES it was as great as Opera.

The little Amp lightning "thingy" aka favicon, is showing for me too. On FF2...
Guess I'll wait for a compelling reason to move to more bloat, less freedom :-/

I would love to use Opera, but just a few things that keep me staying with FF are these:

-When download stuff like torrents it won't let me choose it to open it via like µtorrent. Opera seems to have it's own version of torrent downloaders.

-When I want stuff to open as another page I like to click the wheeler button to do that. That doesn't work on opera.

If you can explain me how to fix those. I'm a new happy opera user.

-Ctrl+F12 (or Tools -> Preferences) -> Advanced -> Downloads -> type torrent in the quick search -> uncheck "Hide file types opened with Opera" just to make sure -> Select the one that shows up (should only be one) -> click Edit -> Change the settings (self-explanatory).

-Not sure how to remap what the mouse wheel does but I use mouse gestures. Right click and hold right click, then move the mouse in any direction and let go and it should ask if you want to enable mouse gestures. Do so, then right click + move mouse right = forward, right click + move mouse left = back, right click (on a link) + move mouse down = open link in new window.

There are many other gestures you can do, but those are the main ones I use and once you get use to them they are so easy.

EDIT: Actually, I just tried it and middle-clicking (the wheel usually) a link, opens it in a new tab....you can customize this of course.

-Ctrl+F12 (or Tools -> Preferences) -> Advanced -> Shortcuts -> Right in the middle is a big button called: Middle-Click Options... Click it and pick the action you want to happen.
