I'm looking for an idea for a new hero, not powers, not costume, just a idea, like why he is at paragon city, or why he has his powers, that's all. Mainly pieces of a concept is except able, whole ideas would be good, but then that would be more around your concept, and not really mine. So ideas for parts of a concept well be fine.

Create a character based on a FRPG and as a concept, it wandered through a portal in (insert FRPG realm name here) and ended up in Paragon City. For real fun, create it on Virtue and RP the heck out of it.

Nice thought RonJ... points to you.
How about, He was tired of always being the one getting rescued by the superheroes. Why did it seems like he was the only one that didn't have super powers. Even his geeky uncool friend from high school has powers (sure it was a freak accident when that power line hit the flagpole that he was climbing to get his underwear back). Still everyone had powers but him. So he set out to get powers. He carried a lightning rod around as he marched through the local chemical waste dump... nothing. He kept jumping into the Circle of Thorns ceremonies when they had someone in that green glow... nothing. He even asked the local supergroups if they had any extra armor or if they were going to have a garage sale soon... nothing. He spent a week digging around in Croatoa trying to unearth a jewel with old mystic powers... nothing.
Well, he really shouldn't say nothing... more like no super powers. You see each time he tried one of these stunts something did happen to him... the lightning did strike him, it just stopped his heart for a few seconds... The magic from the Circle of Thorns did kind of mess up his ability to remember things from his childhood... He did have his arm broken when he went to a supervillain hideout instead of the superhero base that was across the street... He is still being haunted by a few of the spirits from Croatoa... Lots of stuff happened, just no powers.
He was still the same unimportant victim he always was, just now he was a bit mentally ill and disfigured. It was that day he decided it was time to just give up, and end his life. When he had nothing left and was empty of all hunger for power, ancient being stood before him.
"You are finally a vessel of humility, there is no longer any pride or hunger for power. Now you are ready for the ultimate gift of power. I give you the belt of Gorsheen. With it you will become the champion of Paragon City."
He took the belt and realized his true destiny... it was to help all those who were like him. Lost, without hope, and needing a hero that was ready to look out for them.
Or he could just be a mutant.

see this is what i love about the game. i will give up a great build anyday if it doesnt go with the idea i had for the hero or villain.
Ive got a scrapper on triumph that im going to start working on again. He is a Vampire not by bite but by birth. As a baby he was found by the "Church" meaning catholic church. Now he works for the church fighting crime to sort of buy his salvation back. his name is Dark-Saint and he is a Broadsword/ Dark armor, but yeah the thing about what you are wanting to go with is really it need to be your idea. I hope this all works out for you :)

You all got really good ideas, many that should be admired, but not really anything I'm looking for, I was hoping that someone would pick up that I was wanting parts of a concept and going from there I would piece them together and get a really good concept going, you know... a compendium of the thinks of the masses, but thanks for the insight guys.
Oh and Vic, my level of thinking was a lot higher than you think, you would have to put a lot of thought and time into this to see what I was looking for. I was looking to see if I could find a individual that had about the same level of analytical skills that I have, so I could go to them for opinion sharing and maybe an insightful look on something that I or he or she would be looking at. ^.^
