Got to hand it to Funcom though.
So far i think they're the only party ever to overestimate their emergency downtime.
I.e. they said 20:00 til 01:00 CET and they were up at 00:35 :-)

Try and Report it, though i have heard rumors nothing's going to help, but it might be worth a shot.
How's that possible by the way, with all the Anti-Spyware advices being thrown around here, is there a different reason? Told your password to the wrong person perhaps?

Thats what I did... reported a guy scamming me but it was a fake NCSoft E-Mail Address and I wasn't very smart that day.

No-one ever got my password; and yea i did report it to the support of NC soft. Today i logged in and apparently someone else was using the account as well since i got booted of about 20 times.
How my password was obtained remains a mistery; i do know i have lost every single bit of valuable weapons, armors and items in GW.

Oooh, that's bad.
Not just the loss of your stuff, but if you got booted from the game because someone else was using your account (confirmation from Guild members that you were on during the times you got kicked?) implies that whomever hacked your account also somehow got a hold of your newly changed password.
From what I've heard at GW AMP, your stolen stuff won't be returned to you and that's a pain. GW accounts are currently the second hottest target (numero uno is still WOW accounts) for account theft. Make sure you have a solid password on the account and don't use it anywhere else. Most common mistakes people make regarding passwords.

I hope to have an email from NCthis evening; if not i'm gonna send a new email with the request for urgency...
Ah well.... been playing AoC summat more anyway; but i hate to see my accomplishements deleted (read 15k's and FoW armor as well as rare and valuable weapons). Imut glad i hadnt bought the tormented staff yet >.<

Password not reset yet....
Sorry, but why the hell haven't you changed your password yet?
All it takes is for you to enter old password (which you know) and a new password on your account page. I do this every two months per standard on all my NCSoft game accounts, including the GW ones which I really don't play with anymore.
E-mailling NCSoft doesn't get you a changed password. That's your own responsibility.
What you're doing is like saying I didn't bother changing the lock on my front door even though burglars have the key and walk right in every night to take out stuff. If you don't change your password immediately upon noticing your account is being used by another party, you're really being negligent and NCSoft would be in their rights not to help you in any way on those grounds. Seriously!

hmmm.... Lani; the system in GW has been changed when they implemented their online store. If i click reset password i get forwarded to NCsoft's page i have an account there; but for some reason is never linked to my GW account.
about 3/4th of the people are unable to change their passwords.
The fact that i can't change it myself due to their lack of knowledge to correctly link accounts on sites and games isnt my responsibillity.
So even if i wanted to (and i did for about 2 hours last night) change my password; i couldn't simply because something is wrong in their database.
So plz do not say its my fault when the system works faulty.

Mriswith has a point, i tried to change the password once but i forgot my NcSoft account password, had to go to several hoops before that got done, took me atleast 3 days.
HOWEVER, how about the Reset Password option? If you notice your account is being hacked/used, cant you use that so atleast neither can get on your account?

Thats the whole point....
I CAN get in my NCsoft account
I CAN reset that password
But GW isnt linked to the account for some reason
anyway; this is AoC so lets drop the subject =)

Yeah, I remember when the system was implemented. I attached both my accounts to my PlayNC account so I could get them back should I forget my passwords at some point. I also heard the cries of anguish at the time from people who were using defunct e-mail addresses and such. Not that you were one of those. But I did not know there are still issues with linking accounts. That sucks big time and is just a little weird.
Hope it gets sorted and luckily your AoC account isn't hacked :-)

2 birds with one stone here...
Firstly:
If anyone feels like donating to the Maya appeal I guess that any Mutant will hold your donation until he's back on his feet.
We're currently half way to a set of FoW shards wise and we have a handful of ectos.
Secondly:
I'm currently downloading AoC (6hrs left @ 600+ kbps) so I'll be about asking for pointers. Really looking forward to being a newbie again!
Gonna have to remake my sig tho....

Last night-shift of the cycle, then 4 days of Freedom!
I don't have much in the way of wealth on my GW accounts, but I think a few 2nd and 3rd year Birthday gifts may have made their way to my characters by now. Those could be pawned off for a few baubles maybe?

Well; i got my GW account back; but no thanks to NCsoft.
In short; i decided to try entering my common namemix i use for games; and what appeared? Another account... It asked for my GF maiden name; well; that could only be my ex-gf; so i entered it and got into an account i didnt even know existed; and guess what: there was my GW account! So i set another password and another emailcontact adress.
Now all i have to hope for:
- That NCsoft got the last ticketmessage saying it's all fixed and that they can stop looking into it
- That i havent got a bann for what the hacker did
I'll take up the damage later this evening -.-

Glad to hear you got your account back, and that you remembered your PlayNC account as well :-)
Should've been a feature allowing you to trace back your PlayNC account when all you know is your game account imo.
And don't worry, PlayNC Support is very quick in spotting those "Don't bother, I fixed your problem myself" messages :-)

Well, you can have a PlayNC account without having a Game Account first because you (usually) create the Master account before the game account. Guild Wars is (was?) the exception to that rule. I suspect you of creating a PlayNC Master account twice to be honest :-)
