A couple questions

Hello!

The last time I posted a question, I got lots of answers that really helped me out, so I'm back with a couple more questions! :D

Last time, I had questions concerning different classes that were really clear although my game time ended before I could use the information that I got. So this time I'm asking that information before I go buy my gamecard.

First off, I have questions concerning warriors.

1) Considering the fact that I was a warrior for 3 years in Guild Wars, how hard is it to play a warrior in WoW compared to GW? (on a scale of 1-10 [10 being hardest])

2) If I intend to solo my way to 70, which tree should I focus on and which weapon type should I be using?

3) Same question as 2 but this time if I want to tank.

4) Is there a guide somewhere out there that clearly explains how to tank?

5) Which stats are the most important for a warrior? (solo and tanking)

When I say solo, I mean that I want to be able to dish out a fair amount of damage while also being able to endure damage.

That's it for warriors and now on to the other part.

I've been looking at some videos on youtube and reading posts on WoW forums and there are things that I didn't understand:

6) I hear a lot of people saying DKP, what is it?

7) I also hear a lot of people saying that they need to get attuned, again what is it?

8) I know there are dungeons all over the WoW world, but what is the difference with Heroic dungeons?

9) Could someone give a "Raiding 101" or link me to a guide that explains it all?

Lots of questions here, but I hope some of them can be answered.

Thank you for your time,

MB.

RE: A couple questions

Hello, welcome back!

1) Considering the fact that I was a warrior for 3 years in Guild Wars, how hard is it to play a warrior in WoW compared to GW? (on a scale of 1-10 [10 being hardest])

A: About 8 at least, there is a lot more involved when performing a particular role. IE: Tanking, Dps etc...

2) If I intend to solo my way to 70, which tree should I focus on and which weapon type should I be using?

From 1-30 you should definitely do arms, with 5/5 on cruelty, which is the first tier in the fury talents. At 40 you should either stick with arms or even better imo go Fury and dual wield.

3) Same question as 2 but this time if I want to tank.

That would be without a question the prot tree, but at lower levels, before 60 tankin isn't really a problem as being fury, or arms.

4) Is there a guide somewhere out there that clearly explains how to tank?

Yes, This is pretty helpful

5) Which stats are the most important for a warrior? (solo and tanking)

At first Stamina, and Strength the other stats are just a bonus. But at later on, there is defense rating, shield block, dodge rating, hit rating and so on and so forth.

6) When I say solo, I mean that I want to be able to dish out a fair amount of damage while also being able to endure damage.

Fury is like really fast steady damage, arms is slow burst damage, prot is fair damage with good survivability.

That's it for warriors and now on to the other part.

I've been looking at some videos on youtube and reading posts on WoW forums and there are things that I didn't understand:

6) I hear a lot of people saying DKP, what is it?

Dragon Kill Points, it's basically a scale that guilds use on how often you show up for raid, perform well or not and should get the drops or not.

7) I also hear a lot of people saying that they need to get attuned, again what is it?

Attuning is required to enter some dungeons.

8) I know there are dungeons all over the WoW world, but what is the difference with Heroic dungeons?

Heroic Dungeons are 5 man dungeons but like GW Hard Mode.

9) Could someone give a "Raiding 101" or link me to a guide that explains it all?

That would really depend on how much your going to participate in raids, and honestly you should not really think about until you reach later levels like 60+. But raiding is mostly done with 10+ people up to 40 in the old days, and you get really good gear on drops and that's where DKP comes in.

Anyways I hope that helped if not, just come back and wait for other people to leave their input ^_^
