Well some sites do lower pic quality just to save their server space, and gifs can be temperamental about that sort of thing when losing quality so its probably a little bit of both. But you can always check the original img you made in whatever program you made it, i know when i made a gif before that happened i went back and found one little pixel was a white dot and not clear..
Nice pics btw tho :D

well when i first noticed this i thought crap i left those in their, so i went back to photoshop found a few white pixels but hardly anything... so when i posted it back on photobucket it still happened. so i went back a second time, found a few but again hardly anything and this still happens so i said "screw it" and just left it...

The edges are often found with transparency. Animation in particular is subject to this, and is more apparent than normal images. So, if you had posted these as plain images - it might have been better than the animations, but you might still have some issues.
Best way, avoid it, not sure what to say :/
Nice images though, I can just imagine how they look normally. I like your image positioning, everything seems to blend well from one side to the focus to the other side.

The white edges are due to compressing to gif; for transparency; gif only uses on and off; semi transparent parts will be set to off (so no transparancy) and show white. The best way to avoind that is saving to PNG; the files will be larger; but png saves everything.
Looking good though =) keep up the work!
