Alright, im in a bit of a pinch.. Im in the mood to make a new character, and i cant decide what profession to choose. Ive made 2 dervish so far, got to twenty, and beat half of EN and NF with both.. then they got deleted. Is there something im missing about them? Or is it just the way i play that makes me dislike them so much.. i dont know. Thats where i come to you guys for.. I need some advice on both a dervish.. and a mesmer. A mesmer? By the things ive seen in some pvp video's, observations of gvg battles and what not, and the quick kills they can do in pve. They seem rather interesting.. i have yet to ever make one, and the beginning stages seem.. yet again, rather interesting, but so did a dervish.. eh. Im looking to make a character that i can have for a while, and nab some titles with. Mainly get some titles maxed so i can accomplish atleast SOMETHING for GW2 lol
PS, ive played a para for quite a while now.. and fell in love with them. (If that says anything about the way i play.. and can help depict what prof i should choose) I guess im just looking for a prof to keep me motivated and giddy about playing GW, and doesnt bore me out to the point that i want to quit. - Also, if someone can post me a picture of mesmer Norn armor, OTHER then the one on guildwiki, that would help me a little.. =P thanks!

Jarmina is my 3rd toon she is almost 12 million xp now, I have 26 titles am working on luxon one now for 27th with zaishan title at same time
mesmer rocks the house in pve hm or nm anyday ( regardless of the useless team slot comment, ask any AMPers I partied with )
I can basicly do anything I want on Jarm, ToPK ( yes barrage mesmer ftw), heal some (sig of illusion healer), mm a tad ( not really fun but can help), nukker or warder, plus before the WoR nerf I had a built to run a-gate in HM in less then 14 min HM
so it is true mesmer are a rough class to learn but heck they so much fun to play... except in AB the kurzick see me and gang bang me this why I play ele in AB more, but I do miss the fun time on Jarmina and seeing things explode
PS : I dont like norn armor for mesmer :)

I would say which ever fits your style of play.
Mez- Can shutdown, Degen, Int. They get more credit for PvP play then for PvE play. NOT saying by any means they are bad for PvE. They are more back-mid line in the rear of the party, most of the time (unless using IW or B/O Mez) causing havoc compared to Devs on the front line. I enjoy mine very much.
Dev- Can have a explosive punch, many enchants blowing up in some scenario's. Up front, hand to hand in the middle of the fight. Self preservation (healing skills and such) there is no contest, Dev wins that hands down vs Mez. Avatars can be a lot of fun. I also enjoy this one very much.
Really all depends on how you like to play. Sounds like you would like playing a Mez in a more supportive type of role so to speak like your para. Good luck with your choice=)

This is just plain bollocks, so if i'd post random professions in Kamadan that run around with that title it makes the entire profession invincible? Im glad i play a Godlike Being then.
It really comes down to how you use it, Jarm obviously plays Mesmers like they where meant to be, others run around using Domination, Illusion and Inspiration magic coupled with Meteor Storm
Fully half if not more of Mesmer players just don't know how the hell to play the profession, and often at the end of the day resort to spells they are more at home with, but their not mesmer skills alright.
I'd say Mesmer, because they do have some a nice flexibility to it, but the posted statement above doesn't immediatly proof anything.

Forumite I did not imply invicibility, he wanted a toon that he could play for a long time, that is what the proof was meant to be

No, its an attempt to communicate to him in the only way possible, through simple one-liners.
Ok, well basicly it implies every profession where one person has attained that title its a long-playable profession.
Depends on the player mostly, the dedication, the hardcore status, and just plain sacrifice of everyday life for one cause.

i wouldnt say its a sacrafice. my ele has 25 titles, and i work full time, go out at weekend, play squash twice a week, football once a week.
its easy to set targets and get things done. just have to be focused on what your doing. although, i doubt i'll do it on any other chars :S
