hey i have a mac pro (laptop) and i really want to play guild wars on it. I know there is no gw version for mac, BUT the mac os (leopard) comes with this program called bootcamp. it lets you install the windows os and run it succesfull on your mac, so that you can run windows programs bla bla bla and you can switch back the mac os anytime you want. I was wondering, if i were to install windows xp on to my mac, would i be able to play guild wars on it?

Not sure where you DL XP for it, but I know you CAN play GW with a Mac using Bootcamp.

Try cranking down the Resolution and just stretch the screen using various options both on the LCD and the software for your GFX card, i've seen alot of people do that, sure it doesn't beat maximum resolution, but not everyone likes to pay for the best of the best :P

It already stretches, in Cod4 i practally have to run it at 1280x768, another WS res just to get a perf boost, otherwise lag, but i do have the gfx like all the way up on cod4, but with lower res better fps. Other games like Guildwars and everquest 2 i run at max, GW runs great, eq2 didnt have good fps but it was OK like around 15fps lol, i messed with ATI settings a bit and tweaked eq2s gfx slightly and get like 55 to 60 FPS normally without lowering the res or loosing any of those beautiful graphics, it was all in the Bloom and rendering npc and particle distance and lowering other peoples char models down a bit just to make fps jump that high and stop the studdering when entering mass filled zones.
