HTML Coding Assistance Needed

i made a new flash signature - and i'm trying to put it in my signature. from my tests here, i've found that it will display in a post - but not in my signature (with the same coding).
any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

edit: when i first did this, it didn't even work - so something might have become messed up... >.>

edit2: Might be the no-caps thing that's ruining the post, it comes out fine in Preview though - just really confused here... I'm gonna post a link to my coding, maybe that'll allow some means of viewing...

RE: HTML Coding Assistance Needed

the tag should be "img src", not just src. It looks like your linking to a webpage, when you need to link to the img itself for these tags to work

RE: HTML Coding Assistance Needed

it's currently em bed src= (no space there, won't let me post it for some reason)
i'll give img a shot.

edit: Here's a text file of the format, doesn't want to display properly anymore at all - so that's kind of troubling.

EDIT: Img change

if this works, i found it - i was missing a height tag for the overall table.

-magical samurai

edit: again - it displayed in preview, not in the actual post - i think it's removing the em bed tag..

edit: Thanks for the help Zoaka - appreciate your efforts - hopefully this'll come out, otherwise it might just be a Gameamp problem.

RE: HTML Coding Assistance Needed

i know the word sc ript is removed from posts because of exploits, it is possible em bed was removed as well. that would also cause it to not work in sigs.

alright, so that would mean that it is disabled? guess i'll just have to revert back to my jpg signature, lol

RE: HTML Coding Assistance Needed

you can still use flashsigs (see keo's) since it is not a sc ript; the tag you used was wrong =)

use the 'object' peranthesis:

CODE
{object width=\"425\" height=\"373\"}{param name=\"movie\" value=\" your link \"}{/param}{param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\"}{/param}{/object}

or something like that =)

edit: think away the backslashes =)

Thanks for the information.

{object width="400" height="150"}{param name="movie" value="http://www.freewebs.com/magicalsamurai/photos/flash%20sig%20resource/signature-final-1-1.swf"}{/param}{param name="wmode" value="transparent"}{/param}{/object}

hm... Did I use the right coding there?

RE: HTML Coding Assistance Needed

Not quite, you used { and }, you should use standard HTML brackets < and >, I think Maya used the {}'s just so it would show the code properly.

:REMOVED OBJECT:

EDIT: Interesting, that "works" but it seems they have code that forces it to load the gw.GA page inside it instead of the object you want.

Yeah, dont do that if its loading the amp page, cause it loads the page your on, which contains an object which loads the page in it self again, it basically infinitely loads the page your on.

RE: HTML Coding Assistance Needed

So it's a no-go area, I should just scrap the whole idea and continue using my jpg signature?

RE: HTML Coding Assistance Needed

Edit:

I have fiddled a bit and the word gets deleted. em-bed is removed. only sigs that had it before this update still work; with new entries it will simply be removed.

So thnx to 3rd parties using html cracks... it ruins coding for people who like to use it to add a little interactivity to their profile -.-
