hello everyone, well as the title suggests im stuck, i get to the log in screen i type my password and account name and bam it says unable to connect pls help me if you can :)

This was happening to alot of people on Europe WoW, so I had to check where you where and like me you live in the UK =D.!
Ok , ON TOPIC :
If it says unable to connect then it means that your internet is buggered ( Failure to find an appropriate word) up.
If you try going to other browsers such as Youtube.com, or msn.com ( Busy browser site's, If you are able to load the screen it proves your internet is fine. Then it means the last one of two things.
1) The game is going under a server check and so you are unable to log on.
2) A bug WoW staff are trying to fix. You wont know whats happening because some people like me have it pause at the 'connecting' screen whilst some have it on the 'unable to connect' screen so It looks as if the server is down when it isnt, Its a bug.

ps : How to avoid the bug? You cant =D It tends to keep me off WoW for about 2 hours.

edit:i havent even made 1 character yet so i hope its not a bug....

server maintance is every week from 5-11 or from 3-11

Or it may be your firewall. Turn it off and try to log in again. If it works, either you can just turn it off whenever you want to play WoW but you must remember to turn it back on when your done. The better thing to do would be to go to the blizzard support site, there they have a step by step guide on what ports you need to unlock.

Oh yeah Cr3s your right , I forget to mention =D
Your firewall blocks some ports and you need to adjust it so that it allows you to play.
