What do you do besides sit in front of your grand LCD (or for you oldschoolers, CRT)?
I compose music, I play bass guitar, guitar, drums and harp, sing, swim, sail, study economics, physics, the stock market, the Constitution and music theory.
Did I mention anything about music in there?
I also love to read.

The Grif has many "other" enjoyments besides gaming......I enjoy drawing/painting, soccer (football for the none US members...I know its a horrible name for such a great game), golf, running/working out, being a dad which takes up 99% of my freetime, and being a husband (I guess). Oh and maybe read a book or two each month.
On top of that I can cut a fine piece of meat, now I dont sing like Ron but I can maybe cut a rug while I do it.

I do IT support, own my own business. Got two teenage kids, so I'm really quite insane by now, lol. I love to read. Between kids and running my own business I don't have time for anything else, besides COH of course.

I am the Logistics Coordinator for a service company that repairs foundations for large industrial machines, mostly for the oil, gas and chemical industry. I am also the safety director. I write technical papers and estimates, make flight arrangements and hotel arrangements for our crews. I also do accounts receivables (management basis only), and accounts payables (again only as management).
In my leftover spare time (I am on call 24/7), I read voraciously, write poetry, enjoy the hell out of good music (RUSH FOREVER!). I am a student and an observer of culture, philosophy (of all stripes), government, economics, and history.
I was a disk jockey for K103.5 Sunny FM (this station no longer exists, was sold to a company that airs spanish music/news), as well as my own internet radio station, which included a 2 hour rant per day (I am a long winded and passionate bastage). However since the RIAA got nasty, I quit that, dumpped the station and yearn for the day when I can return to radio...*eyes retirement* Perhaps by then...

Well I am but a teenager, so I don't have some cool long explanation about my career or anything. But I do play bass guitar, some drums, football, sing in the shower, I read a lot when I can. Going to be a freshman starting in August. Football right now were just doing conditioning and basic positional training. (Linemen, Receivers, Quarterbacks, etc.) Coaches gave us our positions today, I'm officially a starting guard. One of my best friends is starting center and another is the other starting guard. Pretty sweet stuffs. Looove football. So glad I did it.

Well as for me in non gaming mode I work 3rd shift at a company that produces welding rods. Its grueling work and I have to lift 50 pounds for hours on end in over 90 degrees and 80% humidity. Its not so glamerous work but I have lost over 45 pounds at it and its making my look quite buff atm.(see my myspace page for details)
My true love is computers and I have a workshop in my house where I like to tinker and work on em. I have been trying to break into the IT field for years now. However schooling is expensive and I have no interest in putting a second mortgage on my house as collateral so I can chase my dream. I also found out that I suffer from a mathmatical learning disability thats also been hampering my efforts in trying to get schooled. It's called Dyscalculia
As for my time away, I enjoy amateur writing, hiking the local nature center with my 5 year old and my wife, cooking, and of course tinkering with old computers.

Gratz on RISD! It's not an easy school to get into.
I would recommend hanging at Reflections Cafe on the corner of Governor and Wickenden St. Some very cool people there and some REALLY awesome sandwiches. :)
That area of Providence is very artsy and ecclectic. You'll really like it. Lots of little funky shops and whatnot on Wickenden and Thayer St (you'll likely live in the Thayer St area).

I've been employed as a programmer at a small tech firm for about a year. I make web pages do useful things like log people in, record data, create schedules and fetch the morning coffee.
I also teach a 2nd grade Sunday School class. This year I have my first real girl-dominated class, which is a fun change.
I'm too lazy to keep up with my own altoholism. Abana is my "main" right now as I'm going for my first level 50, but as for my creations here's a short list:

One Man Vs. The Mob (hero, Virtue), lvl 11 sci blaster, nrg/nrg/fly/stealth
Ballplayer Reverend (hero, Champion), lvl 19 nat tanker, will/mace/speed
Dr. Arjun Girish (hero, Virtue), lvl 6 nat controller, mind/kin

I work as a technical adviser in a faucet maker company; previously I have been a security agent, a warehouse worker, a sociology statistician, a communication agent, a sports coordonator, and transportation supervisor and a
publicist.
I have been learning and teaching martial arts for over 30 years and aspired to be anovelist; still do in fact.
I recently started collecting and playing the Heroclix Game and I am a voracious reader and movie-goer.
It's been a long time since I touched my 12 string guitar.
Of course I'm single.

yeah I love Providence! I did the RISD summer program last year and got to know the area, especially how to walk to the Providence Place Mall from campus.... I also really like Thayer street, I got a bunch of henna there and had a good time doing tattoos with it.

also, I found this interesting, and forgot to add earlier that I have Synesthesia, along with some obsessive-compulsive disorder, which I think has helped me with my meticulous drawing. I haven't stepped on a crack (that I could have avoided) for at least a year or so and I will always put things that are different colors into their place in the spectrum, from lightest to darkest, etc. And, in case you're still interested, I always finish my meal in a restaurant (which is extremely frustrating), and at almost every point in time each bit of my meal is in equal portions.
and the last one is the most annoying: I have a weird symmetry compulsion where I have to duplicate any contact on the opposite side of my body as the original contact or i'll freak out (which happens whenever I get an injury...gr)
so, um, yeah.

I lived most of my life in Rhode Island. Up until 3 years ago, I lived just outside of Providence for the previous 5 years. Loved it. I spent a great deal of time downtown. I worked part time in one of the gay bars in town. :) Lots of fun.

Both my parents went to RISD, and apparently when they were there it was a real crapper. It's really nice now, especially the riverside and the gardens and stuff.

Professional Big: My official title is Programer/Analyst. Programmer using the C#, Java, classic asp, and a few .NET languages. As far as the analyst, I 'own' a few applications for a humongous chain that covers 3 states. Basically means I'm in charge of every aspect of the program and if they break, I have to fix them. I also do support work for 1200 corporate users.
I'm also trying to start my own consulting company for web page development/deployment with some general support work thrown in there.
Social Big: Just became a home owner (see sig for pics) so I've been really busy with that for the past two months. I'm in an old man work softball league that plays a few times a week. Try and run a few times a week, which doesn't happen too much.
Played guard for 10 years and was All-Conference in college, Cres. If you need any pointers let me know. I'm trying to get into coaching, got offered a position as 9th grade line coach, but can't because of work this year.
Did the heroclix thing when they first came out. Still have all my X-Men clix because I can't get rid of them. Too cool, but they remain hibernating because I doubt the ladies would enjoy them.
Don't work the meat like Grif, probably can't sing as good as Ron, but I can do a mean jitterbug if I'm in the mood.

Do to a non-disclosure agreement I can't say what I do at work, but I can tell I work way too much. When I'm at home I mostly just watch old movies and think about how much cooler everything was when I was younger. I also spend a lot of time under my car. I think I had to much fun in high school and now its catching up with me.

I work at a sporting goods store (Modells) and am going back to UNH in the fall, probably to study journalism. As my name may suggest, I love sports, basketball being my favorite. I also like going to the movies, hanging with my friends and playing Magic.

Nice house. I love wood flooring. Not sure why...
Wow very nice. So did you have those custom $800 knee braces?
Just working on holding our stances for as long as we can (I can do a perfect stance for like a minute but then I'm like dead), our coach loves doing sleds so were really good at those as well.
