low lvl obsidian armor

hii

was just wonderin:

what's the minimum lvl u can get fow armor at?

what campaign? have the quests and missions in mind :p, skipping all rewards and xp from monsters whenever it's possible!

anyone know or can calculate or something?

Actually you could get it pretty quickly in factions. as all you need to do is ascend.

I think you would only have to do 2 mission to ascend.
Once you ascend do the quest to get over to LA and then get run to ToA.

So let see at a minimum that would be

1K per mission
3K for finding the oracle
3K for closer to the stars
1K for Chaos in Kryta

=9K

level 5 is 11,600 so I would say if you you got absolutly no other experience you could get it at level 5.

well create a char in tyria so you could be lvl 1 when you get out of searing

get to cantha and ascend thru there and you kno the rest...

You could in theory get Obsidian at lvl 1, but you have to be ascended so its not possible. But the min exp u get from the missions to get ascended in factions and the 1st mission in NF with the worst reward is 2,250 exp, so that would be lvl 2 if u started on NF and got a ferry/runner on everything. with a little bit over 2k exp wiggle room. I dont know the min exp from pre although i usually get of pre at lvl 2 so u could be under lvl 3 if u did it in proph. And with factions I just don't know and i feel like do math or looking anything up to find out the min exp.

Also if u got ascended in proph u get like 60k exp from pwning the Doppelganger so that would make you like lvl 13, not that good of a choice if you want to get it on a low lvl.

I noticed on my warrior, the Dopple attacks ranged with spears..... but up close he will have sword and then attack then.... O.o

If you poped into ID 1 of HA every once in a while rach you would see miles the drunk the level 1 mesmer with FoW armour occasionally talks and throws out abuse, but this sparks alot of questions as to how he/she got it at level 1 and got to HA without being atleast level 20. :\Any ideas?

Havent seen him in like a day or two so I cant double check but then again as I said to rach in game I am no expert on mesmers or their armour, so I could possibly have the 15k armour mixed up with FoW. I sometimes mix the two up so if so then my bad but still makes you wonder how he made it to the grotto and HA at level 1.

Prob exploited that travel glitch a while back that got fixed.

No you havent.

To get out of presearing requires more than 1k experience (this is assuming someone kills all the mobs for you while you stay out of range and ONLY accept/turn in the primary [required] quests).

Ok, so your at 1k experience. Now, lets go to Ember Light Camp - Err wait, gotta do a mission first (MUST complete mission to get there). Well, you get 1k experience for the mission.

1k + 1k = 2k, which level 2 = 2k experience.

That being said, its impossible unless there use to be some exploit to beat a mission/turn in quests without getting the reward, to have a level 1 in Ember Light Camp.

EDIT: As for the travel glitch, true it could have been done, but glitches like that are usually not well known until they are patched (meaning the person who found it would have wanted to get a lvl 1 in Ember Light). Besides, its quite uncommon to get a lvl 1 out of pre......seeing as the mobs + required quests level you well above lvl 1, you would have to get a buddy to do ALL the killing for you.

Like I said, based on the REQUIRED objectives to get there, its impossible. If it has been done, it was done by use of exploits, therefore it is still impossible to do as those exploits have been fixed.

Im sure that person probably exploited it, im sure some ppl didn't get caught. I didn't do it because anet told us not to when they found out i didn't wanna get in trouble but im sure ppl got away with it. One thing that your forgetting tho, MW, is that Factions and NF charas dont start in pre and therefore had access to Guild Halls at the time.

Oh, and they're called runs... oh and just don't fight in pre. And lvl 2 is 2k exp and they may be from NF.

Did you read what I said or just skip over it?

I said if you did not fight at all in pre you would still get over 1k experience, that plus the requirement to complete Thunderhead Keep puts you above level 1.

Also, incase you havent noticed, NF and Factions characters cannot travel to Tyria at lvl 1, why? Because theres quests that you MUST turn in to continue.......I doubt you could go from NF or Factions to Tyria without hitting at least level 5 or so (probably higher but I dont feel like looking up exact numbers).

So again, it would be literally impossible to get there without exploiting.....if you think you can prove me wrong then please, make a new character (Mwpeck Iswrong or something so I know its your screenshot) and PM me when you get there and I will log in and check it out and admit I was wrong. Until then, I still say its impossible without exploits due to what MUST be done before you can even get to the THK mission.

Again, it is impossible to get there without exploits. If you think I am wrong, the prove me wrong.

The reason I say this is because the quest alone to go from cantha -> tyria is 1,000 experience, then the THK mission is another 1,000 experience, there you go, your level 2. Thats not even counting the quests/missions it takes to go from cantha's starter island to kaineng center. Similar story for elonian-born characters.

I have never seen that low of a level character with Obsidian. The lowest I have seen is level 8. Like Crimson said ( in regards to the level one at Ember) they must of exploited. Either way, I do not understand why people would want to get the armor at such a low level. I mean not like u can really show it off, limited places to travel to. Other than to say "Hey look at me, how I can get ran all over, and stay way out of range of xp" I do not get it.

lvl 2 is the lowest without cheats.

The cost for Fancy armor is generally 50 Tournament Reward Points per armor piece, however the cost for Obsidian armor is 200 Tournament Reward Points per armor piece

I don't know if it is possible to get these rewards with PvE characters.. if so, this is how.

I guess he PvP's allot then :D
