Depends on what you are looking for...
Are you talking about Crafted Basic IOs, or are you talking about the Basic IO Recipes.
Crafted Basic IOs will cost you a lot more than just buying the Recipe + Salvage and crafting them yourself.
If you want IO Sets with set bonuses the same rules apply here, but these will be way way higher than your Basics.
Point of fact: With Double XP Weekend coming to an end you will still find the Markets are still going to be over priced for a while. Don't be suprised if prices stay high over the next few months. There were a lot of people that made a lot of INF.

I'd take it one step at a time, one set at a time. Work towards slotting one power before buying for other powers and pick a basic theme (such as going for a +recharge boost). It doesn't make sense to buy unnecessary recipes along the way, just save up and get the ones you need. I'd buy standard single origins for now, they're cheap and will let you farm away with no problems... then as you make cash, upgrade one power at a time with high end set bonus recipes (such as stupefy for flashfire or performance modifier for transference), don't skimp on your farm build, just take it slow... it also gives you something to work for, taking some of the bore out of farming.
