Is guild wars really that boring i did some hfff today and z elite for some keys my alliance loves pve and they seem to have fun still doing the same runs all that ursan stuff or even without ursan but it's the same stuff they do it over and over
is that all there is to this game anymore or do i need to go back to pvp and find all new friends in new guild i have even made new chars but was really easy and still boring to me. Any ideas how to make the game fun to me again? Anyone any idea on how to make this game fun again or should i just quit
Did i play to much ?

I just suggest you take a break that's what i am doing right now. I just play Requiem: Bloodymare its like wow but its free:-DDDDDD

uhm... total experiance throughout out my chars rings something to the tune of 24,000,000 last time i checked.
i don't think you played too much, that's really your discretion and what you wanted to do with your time.
what's really keeping me attached to GW are the people i've met through all the years and the [AMP] guild and the remaining awesome people on there that are a lot of fun to play with.
the anticipation of GW2 is really a nice thought and i look forward to it for the revival of hype and popularity. =)

1) when is GW2 coming out/will there be any crossover stuff?
2) can i get invited to the [AMP] Guild at some point? i am returning after a brief break and wasn't in my not-too-active guild when i logged in again.

well most the friends i have made in gw have stopped playing as much this is the only game i play that monk is not my main char just one i made few months ago to help ppl the guild was kinda short on monks that could heal and not just farm think i have around 20 mil xp total never added it up for all my chars

Going fot the titles is the main reason i still play gw,
and because of the titles i also need to farm.
the quests and missions i have repeated on countless characters and most of them are like branded in my brains X_X
--> reason for slight boredom
my guild have always consisted of me and friend so maby it would refresh the game a bit if i joined a larger guild or started recruit on my own ^^
Ive pretty much done everything (except the titles) i want in Pve and pvp isnt that close to my heart, so the life time of gw is about to come to end at my case
--> gw2 should boost the enthusiasm again :)

Start farming and set ur bar really high. It's made the game a lot more fun for me. And when you have farmed to much just do a little title hunting.

Do stuff that's not s grindy, Alliance battles can be fun, you could also try for titles but not grind at em or you will just get even more bored.
Try the PvP side of things, RA if you're not that good at it, TA and HA if you are.

GW isnt boring for me, playing for 33 months now.
All i do is get myself a new goal to achieve. that can be anything from titles or new armor/weapons. If that cant keep you on GW, then just join a nice guild, always fun :P

on-topic - playing multiple characters is a good way to keep interest. I find that it can get a bit stale if you keep doing everything with one character. My main is an ele with 27 maxed titles, but when I need a break I do stuff on my rit or monk...a different style of play is needed for those chars.
Another tip for keeping it interesting - don't use ursan all the time, and don't use it at all in normal mode.

Yeh that, or try to hit 13 mille xp on your main character /wink.
Nah i do the same as lost, i only have 1 pvp character, and when i want to pvp with some class, i create a new character in PvE and get him through the storyline. Then get awesome 15K armor for him and the skills needed. This way i always have something to do =]

i agree, ive been playing 34 months now and i feel that its not that youve been playing the game too much, its that youve been playing the one style of play and character too much that youve gotten bored doing the same thing over and over.
id recommend making a few of the other classes and giving them a go, maybe the change of pace and style of playing will help a little.
other than that id reccomend looking at other ways of keeping yourself interested, it looks like youve been purely PvE, try some new things like TA and RA, its faster and more competive, maybe all you need is a good challenge :)

Ive been playing for nearly 2 years ( 22 months ) and I cant stay on GW for an hour without being bored out of my mind. I think the guild im in is the only things thats kept me from completely quitting. I dont have a mesmer, ranger, Paragon and I just made a dervish. So im hoping playing one of those can get me back into it.
Yes..I haz a MySpace please dont stalk me...

i have played every char in pve and pvp i have 3 chars with at least Kobd title i mainly use my ele, rit, monk , ranger now the rest are storage and a pvp slot i also have 2 other accounts that friends thta quit have givin me to play
maybe when they update the HoM i will have something work on in pve til then i can be found in AB havn't found the right grp to get me back into gvg
from most of the post i see ppl that are bored still play to talk to their gw friends i think i need new friends

i also played like 6,5k hours since 3 years but i never got bored because if u play with friends while on vent and switch around HA ~ TA ~ etc u don't get bored..not me atleast. i got bored of pve years ago, trying to max titles is pure torture for me, not even gonna talk about the storyline..

Same for me, oh and my guild ofcourse.
I got Team Fortress 2 along with other games to enjoy myself with, im not picking up a new MMORPG thank you, got tons of new stuff to learn for my career, the less i need to learn/know/remember, the better.
Point; ''The'' Guild Wars died, a while ago indeed, but it depends on personal taste, all i can recommend is taking a break, be it a week or a month, then play again, usually its really refreshing.

Guild wars as a whole hasn't died for me, but Prophecies has... Since I got Nightfall and Factions, they've been much more interesting and fun, especially Factions. Prophecies just doesn't hold my interest for very long. I think the easier xp curve in Factions helps keep me focused because I level so frequently.

Same here, but now i just wonna start again to farm some orr emblems. I stopped a year ago, and i started WoW, got 3 lvl 70's now lol :D

When ive quit and came back I always seem to add
another set of elite armor to one of my chars this time
was Ranger Ancient with Mo Zing Warrior Norn and Templar with Blindfold

guild wars is not a game to be played like hardcore all day. if u want that u play wow. guild wars is still fun as hell for me cause i only play maybe a couple hours a day. so when i go for a while without playing i get excited about what imi going to do on guild wars. its also still fun for me cause i only have 5 lvl 20s and im still working on all of them. right now im making an assasin so that i can get a good farming build for uw. i also havnt beeten all of the campains. so i find lots of ways to keep the game fun. if i were u i would make a new character and just work on them. also with all that in game experience i would make a guild. why not put all that experience to use and help other people. thats what i plan to do someday once i get my characters better. its just things like that that i do to keep this game fun. i also havnt dipped into the pvp barely either so thats another thing im looking forward to. imo u have just play a game to much that isnt ment to be played that much and now u have somewhat beeten the game.
