Is there any possible way to obtain the Prophecies collectors edition? for a reasonable price...
There is a new one on Amazon.com for $699, or a new one on a South African site at R7,461.00
Anything for less? about $300 or less? :S

But don't waste your money. Buy 2 collector editions of GW2 and see if you can make a profit with it.

Nope there isn's.
The CE edition is limited in production and they stopped making them about 1,5 year ago. So the only ones that you can obtain are stacked ones (that they keep behind until the production stops so that they can ask a crapload of money because people want to pay it) or ones that people sell second hand (but with a used key).
So in answer to your question if you can obtain one for a reasonable price: nope....

but i was wondering if i had perhaps just gotten lucky with a ridiculously high bid, i didnt post it here however because i wasnt 100% sure on your rules on advertsiting, but i figure it cant hurt to show a completed listing. ^_^

and the one thats mine that is cheap i only put it on a couple of hours ago :)
does anyone have any tips on how to find buyers without getting in trouble for advertising in game or on fansites etc? like would there be any specific bulletin board or WTB area where people might be listed as looking for such an item?
the reason i ask is because i recall seeing one a few months ago but i cant seem to find it via google.

See its not a little high? People pay prices like that for it, sell it as high as you think is good and then just let the bids go higher, maximum profit, minimal effort dammit.
