Hey ,I was curious if anyoen uses any sort of voice communication while playing? Even better on the triumph server? I dunno i got the game 3 days ago and im lvl 15 blaster. Looking for sum1 to play. It seems i cant find really anybody nice out there. However i did find one person who told me about this site lol. If u got yahoo and a mic we coudl voice chat there. My yahoo is Martsportsman and my aim is martsportsman also.

1st off welcome to the site! and there are quite a few people on here that play on triumph as their main server... i haven't heard of too many people here using teamspeak but i know there are quite a few who do so on our server (i'm one of those that play on triumph)...
also if you have any questions about the game at all please feel free to ask, someone here will have an anwer and if we don't we will find you a link that has an answer

Lots of people at Gamer's Inn use it, since all the computers there are equipped, but they mostly play on Virtue.

i finally have the mic to use teamspeak but don't know how to go about getting teamspeak and how to work it on my system for COH and cov. Does anyone have the info and perhaps step by step?

Okay, first you should go here and download the teamspeak client (not the server). Then you run the executable on your computer. Finally, whoever you are teamspeaking with should have an address and password that you can plug into Teamspeak. You will pull down from the Connection menu to "Connect", then you will fill in the label with whatever you want your channel to be named, plug in the server address that you are trying to connect to, and type in a nickname for yourself to be shown as. Then you plug in the server password, and hit Connect. Do not change anything else.
Once you are connected, you can go to Settings ---> Sound Input/Output Settings and set up whether you want your mic to be voice activated, or activated by a button of your choice.
Also, you can download a program called Teamspeak Overlay that will allow you to see who is speaking. This is handy if you don't recognize the voices you are hearing (which you eventually will).

what about finding others addresses already set up to join? I tried going to the link and setting up my own but i have to find a host and what not. I've already downloaded teamspeak...but unable to do set up bc i need an address. But how do i set up my own address to add ppl?

You are never bugging me, that's what I am here for! :)
I don't know if there is a way to browse available addresses... usually a person wants to get on teamspeak because they know somebody with a particular server they want to get on. Anybody know of a browse option?
As far as hosting your own address, you would have to download the server file instead of the client, and you might even have to pay a fee to host... not sure. Surely some of you wonderful people out there know more than I do about this?
Most of my experience with Teamspeak comes from my time with the Wild Cards SG, so if you are still having problems or just want to test it out, PM me and I will see what we can set up.

You don't have to pay a fee to host your own server as long as your using it for "clan" based uses. Er go, Using it for a Super Group like I have for the Echoes of the Fallen on Justice. They only expect compensation if you using it on a business scale. So you covered in setting one up for small group usage.

Yea Teamspeak it makes teaming so much more fun and helps in those oh crap moments when you run around a corner and have a big ugly purple boss stareing right into your face, just ask Rook how many times it has saved me in combat.

A few of us from the House of Counted Shadows, a VG on defiant, use Teamspeak. It does make things more fun and easier too. You can get a lot more said than you can written. Also, you don't have to stop fighting to communicate.

thanks to everyone for their help. I finally toyed around and found other servers already hosted and once i got connected to one i ended up in a verbal brawl with some teens lol...

you're right but i think i'll hold out until i have more of my friends converted from FF to the realm of COH/COV lol. I've already got three friends to leave FF for our MMORPG! MUA HA HA HA
