Americup week 3 predictions

So here goes it

Machina vs k1 = The French Canadians have this one in the bag and I expect in to end in the first two rounds.

Matrix vs Decibel = MTX has been around a long time, Decibel just formed. However I feel that Decibel will simply bring out their strongest line up and win. If anything they seem to be practicing for it after last weeks lost. I predict d. in 2.

H2o vs xK = I'm going to call this the match of the night (even if in a joking way). So many people want either wing, or infinite to lose that no matter how this goes people are going to have a blast. However I feel that h2o will win in 2.

Check6 vs ex = Check6 does anybody actually think they will lose a map? Win in 2.

Dts vs M2 = Has potential to be a close one and go either way. I don't really know who will win, it's a hard call. So I will go with a conservative dts 2-1 call. I'd wager this would be a good match to UTV as it should be close fought.

Imminent vs gravity = gravity in 2.

LCD vs SBP = SBP is going to win in 2. However LCD is good enough that the maps will probably be fairly close.

404 vs con = con in 2. Fairly simple.

I would wager DTS/M2 and LCD/SBP should be the only semi-interesting matches.

It's not enough to succeed, others must fail.

Will demos of those 2 interesting matches get made? I'll be out of town, but both look to be popcorn fests when i get back.

Demos should be up. I know some of the servers have been running server sides. The demos would go up at GGL site first, and then uploaded here.

i think m2 will prolly beat dts in 2 maps. no offense to dts of course, just played both teams and its my opinion.

Well I'll probably have 250 ping, and Smooth will probably have 85% PL spikes every 2 minutes.

I wish we could play every match on a lan =[

Machina vs k1
k1 came in with a bang with a pretty surprising showing vs xK in week 2. However Machina continues to improve and impress me as a team, My dark horse pick for GGL. dx in 2.

MTX vs Decibel
Could be a decent match, played with reggie in a few pugs and he is a good tdm player indeed. MTX continues to play, god I love these guys lol. Decibel in 2, MAYBE 3 maps (not likely). Gl to both teams.

H2o vs xK
Simply put, h2o in 2. xK continues to underperform, probably due to a lack of activity. Then again h2o hasn't been active either...meh.

x6 vs eX
x6 in 2, sorry eX, tough week for you guys.

DTS vs m2
Has potential to be the match of the night or week. DTS picked up Sexbot, who despite his horrible and homosexual nickname is a really strong tdm player in my opinion. If DTS can get a break with connection issues for 2 of their starters things could really go well for DTS here. m2 continues to play, and I'm saying this one is going to go to 3 close maps. I can't decide who is gonna take it though.

Imminent vs Gravity
Imminent hasn't been too active from what I can see, but they always try their best. I don't like calling the outcome of my own matches so I'll leave this one for the results page to report.

LCD vs SBP
This one could be closer than some expect. Honestly I still think SBP in 2 but LCD is pretty underestimated when they stay focussed for the entire 20 minutes, which is unfortunately extremely rare. SBP continue to be my dark horse #2 for GGL tdm, with Chillin's :c and their impressive teamwork, I'm still calling this one SBP in 2. Corrugation may be closer than some expect. Goliath is going to be really rough for LCD.

404 vs con
404 still doesn't have the frag skills to compete with top-level teams, but they surely have the teamwork. With that said, con is still a force to be reckoned with so this one is going in 2 to con, not close either.

Im so pissed.

I know you guys all predicted us as losing, and as much as I hated those predictions, I can't bitch cause we did lose.

What I am bitching about is how nubbly our team looks. God, we are not that bad skill-wise. We're just a shit show as far as being a team is concerned right now. Which sucks because we've been going for over a year with basically no major problems. But now we're got Arch basically ditching us, he hasn't played in 3 weeks and has been a no-show for every GGL match thus far. Neo, who took a 6 month break is back but never practices. Pibb is discouraged and spends more time pubbing CTF and playing R.O.S.E than TDM. Miller has baseball and can only play like 2 times a week.

So I promise you guys, just give us a few weeks (and maybe a few recruits) and we'll get our shit together. You guys are all our friends and I want you to know we are such a better team than this.

I would have assumed MTX over Decible myself. That time we scrimmed you guys like 8 maps in a row, we could tell you have improved a whole lot and with some teamwork could be a formatible team. I hear Dan is looking for a team, maybe hit him up. Also a merger with grnrev might also help, some of them have been improving too.

I think the call on d over mtx was on a number of reasons.

IMHO you faced a team of very active players, who aren't that bad fraggers. You just didn't roger up. If it makes you feel better, d had being doing rather well in scrims.

Practice makes perfect, and activity counts for tons.

Everybody on gameamp loves MTX. You guys kick ass. Just kick that WOW problem, we all have it (me hates wow)

Luckily nobody in MTX plays WOW. Its other stuff.

Anyway, we love grnrev, we all went to highschool with Milkmand and Phatty, but thats their team. We're never gonna merge with them. Even with us being terrible lately, we still beat them by 60+.
