custom Models and skins 

hi, I installed UTComp1.6
We use many custom Models but I can't switch the forced Models in UTcomp off.
Only standart models a shown.
Any ideas?

In the UTComp readme there should be instructions on how to turn the default models off.

I can't find anything about that in the readme.
If I switch in the ut2004.ini EnableBrightSkinsMode=0
the players still can't use custom models.

i have the same probleme....


with somes skin is work but many skin dont work with utcomp


like bugsbunny its not work with utcomp :(

Here is Lotus's response to a similar question, Again:

I'll be updating the readme in the future to clearly mention this. We never realized that many people were using custom models and skins on UTComp servers, and didn't think about mentionning this in the readme.

Skins which are made non-standard (aka, not Textures) like the default skins produced by epic will sometimes be caused to turn completely white. So, custom models which are non-standard (once again, not standard textures) are automatically disabled and set to your fallback character (arclite by default)when using brightened skins.

There are no exceptions made for ECE skins or anything like that, it is just a check for whether or not the skins are TEXTURES like the standard skins included by epic.
