So who do you think will win? Safe money on Glittz? Going for someone from the U.S.?

It's hard to make predictions when you don't know who's been practicing the most and the hardest. I think Stryfe has a pretty good chance of taking this. My predictions for top three (in no particular order): Lauke, Gitzzz, and Stryfe. :)

it's also hard to predict because in the US we all play on crappy internet connections... so a player can be MUCH different for better or worse on a LAN... while in europe everyone's got very good pings most of the time, so internet play is closer to LAN for them...
combatcarl has been playing stryfe a LOT since 2k4 came out, for the better of both of them... he's got to be a contender for top 5 if nothing else...
it will be interesting to see how infinite comes out... he's kind of a dark horse it seems, but you can never count out someone like him...

Yeah and that brings up my gripe about the whole internet cafe in euro vs here.

Well, stryfe is officially out. :( He lost to Burnie (18-6, 15-8). Burnie actually looked impressive, and he's now my pick to make it far in the tourney.

are we gonna see gitzzz vs lauke in the finals for one of the most anticipated ut matches ever?
or will burningdeath continue to come from nowhere (well not exactly... but it makes it more interesting if we exaggerate :P ) and plow through these huge names...

actually i didn't realize that lauke and gitzzz had to play for the semifinals in the single elimination bracket
gitzzz > lauke 2-1... burnie > forrest 2-0
so yea it's an all german final...

I was way off on my initial predictions, Stryfe, unluckily, didn't even make it throught the first round. I was pretty certain Burnie would win the final though.
