You have to go talk to Sir Tydus once you've completed all the quests, then you can move on to the "real" world. :) You'll see what I mean.

Going from the "old" world to the "new" world was quite strange. Mates of me never told me how this was. First i was in a random party with a lvl 3 W/Mo, i knew i had to walk somewhere. Then i was suddenly completely red, i thought WTF? Then there was a pvp battle. At first i did nothing because i didnt know what was the purpose of this whole thing. He told me i should kill the blue party. We won quite easy (i still dont know why). Then we walked for 5 mins and we where there. I had something like where am i, and am i in the "new" world? Do you guys know if this is always so easy, or do you get the real mission when you lose?

Yay our first lvl 20 guild member ;)

I don't believe winning or losing has any real difference, you just participate to move on. Now I could very well be corrected on this issue, but I'm pretty sure thats the jist of it.
By design its to give you a little taste of pvp goodness as you get dropped into the larger part of Guildwars that you'll be living in for the remainder of the game. To get a feel for where you need to head, feel free to check out the maps section on the site, it does help for navigational purposes.
