when ever i start to play city of heroes after about 10minutes it freezes. sometimes it comes up with the error message and sometimes it doesnt. can some one please help! its getting really annoying!

Well Im not the greatest computer whiz but have you updated your video card by downloading its latest version from the company site!
Is it giving any error messages or such?

Also a thought, click the "verify all files" button when you are loading up COH. Sometimes that will iron things out.

1st off welcome to the site!!!
2nd is this the 1st time you have been playing the game or something that has happened since issue 4 was released... we need just a bit more info b/f we can offer any real help

No. i have been playing for about 3weeks before issue #4 was realised! i will go to verify files hopefully that will work. and yes it does come up with the error that city of heroes has set up. and its so god damn annoying. thanks for the advise i will get back to you with the information if it does/doesnt work!

In the eternal words of Homestar Runner, I think I has the solution. if I've said it once, I'll say it again. Turn of the shadows in the options menu. Many people tell me this is an effective way to reduce I4 specific disconnects and freezes. I can tell you, it worked great for me, I had the same problem.

If you can give any details on what the error message is that you're getting, that would be extremely helpful as well.
Unlike Grif and Jeni, I *am* a techie guy. It's what I do for the money that pays for my CoH time. :) Post what you can give me and I'll translate it into human terms.

Be advised that it is almost certainly NOT a virus issue, and in the name of all that is holy, do NOT download any free virus scanning/protection software off of the Windows site.

Ok i have takin off the shadows in the options, i have verified all files and have unstiled then re-installed the game and this is still happening to me. i dont know if you will be able to see this but this is the error message
I have just finished downloading the new driver for my graphics card. hopefully that should work!

I give up! i have done everything you guys have said. i just downloaded the new driver for my graphics card and its still doing the same thing!!!!!!! this game is really getting on my nerves

don't get discouraged... but i do believe it is time you contacted support about this issue... also your error message did not show up, but you will probably need a copy of it to send to support... they are usually very quick w/ getting back to people

I have tried going to support but everytime i go to finish and send it my internet browser comes up with "page cannot be displayed" its really annoying me. i will e-mail it to you now.

have you tried using a different browser to contact support... it is really strange you are getting the page cannot be dsiplayed thingy w/ it
