Currently I have a lvl 11 Elementalist/Monk with the following attributes:
Air Magic 5
Water Magic 4
Energy Storage 5
Healing ?4?
My question is, do you guys think that my stats are too spread out? I.e. should I focus on either air or water magic? It's a tough pick for me really, but I'm leaning towards Air. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

well, at level 20 my character has about 3 attributes in the "high" range. and those are the only ones i use. it is which gets 3 to double digits in attribute.. well sicne your an elementalist you can use superior runes which give -70health but 3 to an attribute. so it might not be as narrow for you sicne warriors need to keep hp as high as possible
but since you can always change attributes with refund. it only matters your playing style at the point of time you are using it and not further down the road. since there is no penalty for refunding might as well try and experiment with what you like and you can always change/chance back to what you had

I currently only have 9 points on fire and none on the other elements. Try to figure out what element you use most and put all the points in that. Your damage on that skill will increase good.

What wilderness survival skills do you have? I currently have 0 wilderness survival, i never use it, only troll unguent. But troll unguent is good even with 0 points.

I am also working on an Ele/Mo build and i decided to make him a healer with earth magic support. With attacks like earthquake to knock down a foes so youcan make an escape, or pin on aftershock right after to take a nice chunk of health outta your surrounding foes. Earth ele also offers a nice defensive aspect to being a monk since ward against melee is a earth ele skill. Just cast the ward and those pesky monk killing warriors will have a fit with the 50% chance they have to hit you.

Thats a very defencive combination. Should be very usefull in a PvP battle. I think that combo could come quite far. I think its better to make your char earth when you are PvPing but when you are going to go further in game, i suggest you put your points back into fire or a other offencive skill to do some damage.

I really do suggest that you consolidate into either Air or Water. You're spreading yourself a bit too thin. Any spare points can go to Energy Storage. You can never have too much energy.

i think fire magic is the most effecting because take the most damage and burns ppl. I'm an ele/ranger because ranger get a energy bonus and fire can wipe ppl out.

At lower levels, yes, I would have to agree. But once you hit 20 and do your extra attribute point quests, you can have a very effective 4 or 5 attribute character, especially with the use of runes. Most of it just depends on the skills you're using.
Oh yeah, and... Energy Regen > Max Energy. :D

There would be no point streaching your points out like that try to focus of 3 or 4 things.

max out your primary attribute.. elementalists are very dependant on attributes... it is useless to put just 4-5 in there.. might as well be 0..
if you are air elemental.. i suggest 11-12 in Air magic with a major or superior air rune + helm with +1 air and about 8-9 in energy storage with a minor rune.. and use the rest on your secondary profession attribute of your choice
and use a major or minor vigor rune to make up for a little bit of the health loss of the major/superior air rune you put in.
my ele/me right now has.. 15 fire magic (will be 16 as soon as i get new armor infused and put in a superior fire rune), 11 energy storage.. and rest is on domination magic.. (this is all after runes/equipment)... (health is 490, energy is 78) i can take down just about any char 1on1 and many 1on2 and even 3.. (2 warriors.. np...) .. only characters that seem to mess me up a bit are intrupter warriors / rangers / mesmers.
